re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

"try reading between the lines and you will know everything about the aliens."

That sounds like a large clue right there, I've never heard this (I probably have done but as you progress through the game the dialogue of the radio stations change, I probably thought nothing of it had it been during the early stage of the game, as we were all unaware of this Epsilon mystery). Nice find dude.

I've done a bit of research into some of the 'jblend' quotes.

"I usually meet with other followers at the monthly book club. Last month we read "Life of Pi".
- The 'Life Of Pi' is actually a real life book written by Yann Martel, the book is about religion and spirituality , Epsilon is somewhat classed as a religion and spirituality.

"The worms come when you walk on the sand with a regular, rhythmic pattern. If you walk arrhythmically, they will not sense you. (They're very sensitive to vibration)". - This is a direct quote from a novel called 'Dune' written by Frank Herbert.

I'm beginning to think that perhaps the creator of Epsilon, was a fan of the following 2 books, and could have possibly based the whole entire Epsilon program on the events and incidents of these books. I think looking into these 2 books could maybe uncover some more clues as this could of been Rockstars source and got their ideas from these books.

On a different note, Im starting to wonder about the word itself, 'Kifflom'.

Its not a word that randomly comes to mind when trying to name something, and its not a word that you can create just like that in your head, without any reference or having it based on something. I believe it is an anagram or each letter stands for something.
Could the 'FF' mean "Father-Father"?

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

I don't think we would find anything reading the books, Rockstar didn't make the books, hence our only material is their quotes.

Blueberry is a point of interest because of the color of light blue, the name blueberry, the "RED TRUCK TERMINAL," the epsilon caller from their, and one more thing that I discovered some time ago but didn't put attention to it, the oil stains on the floor the mark they make looks like the mark of the descendent of kraff, the biggest stain is the one at the big rig station, where the unique jump is at.

I agree, Kifflom most have a deeper meaning!

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

Hi everyone, this is my first post, but I have been looking at nearly every post before by V, bugger to see him go, anywayz, I have dedicated alot of time to find this whole code out, and im not going to rest till I get to the bottom, even if it is a fat dude in light blue saying "Gratz, youve cracked the code."

OK, now to be helpful, I have read through many posts and found nothing to any prevail, but there is one thing, I read somewhere that Sherman Dam was a pass, and that in the GTA: SA trailer, a BANGED UP GLENDALE (red truck, well, its not a truck to be presices) can be seen driving across SHERMAN DAMN (a known PASS) I went to have a look, but the only "golden gate" (door marker) was on the 2nd south tower to the east, which didnt open a door, just teleported CJ to the GERNORATOR ROOM.

Also, I believe that KIFFLOM is shortened for something, but so must be KRANT (soz for spelling) Notice how they both start with K, and when its night (you can see it in VERTICAL BIRD) a building in san fierro lights up with a K visable.

I have been to the sawmill in Angel Pine, and everytime I go there, there is a red truck (roadrunner type), one of the flat-bed trucks with only 5 wheels (forget name, always white) a woodchip trailer, and a banged-up BLUE GLENDALE (always blue, or never there) When I stole the glendale, I drove it straight forward, and nearly hit a tree, but what I found out, is that light runs up that tree and that tree only, I checked the other 2.

And close by that, there is a docking bay that has a door half-shut, and beside it, it has writing (cant remember what it says).

Sorry for the long post, and im sorry that there are no pics, cause I dont have an operating camera but hey, atleast these are theosable, not like a floating helo to see a sky door.

P.S. can I join your hunting circle? P.P.S. sorry if this is already stated. I just got excited that I can actually reply to a post.

Sorry to add this, but I was just thinking, on one of the adds, forget which channel, KILAMINJARO (excuse spelling) is repeated numerous times, to my knowledge Mt Kilaminjaro is one of the largest mountains in all the world, situated in Japan, and i remember reading in some forum, to travel to the highest point in the game. Maybe theres a link??

quote GTA Legend
Yeah, I saw that in the maps.

I got something:

A caller to Area 53(WCTR) from BlueBerry says; "Kifflom," the host for the talk show agrees, then he continues talking about Epsilon, another caller is on and says; I picked up religious pamphlets but never understood them, the host says; try reading between the lines and you will know everything about the aliens.

I got another "BIG" clue, but I will make a thread, because it's sort of a discovery.

>>Edit

I made a rather odd discovery while doing the missions "Interdiction" for Mike Toreno, the first time I attempted the mission I failed but the second time around, I shot down the Helicopters and went on my way down the canyon(desert, where the big jump is located) to get the contraband from the Helicopter, as I went down with my Sanchez I spotted a RV coming my way, it made a stop at the end of the path(to me this was weird because I never seen any pedestrian vehicles in the mountain. So instead of going for the contraband, I stopped, got off my bike and looked at the RV for a while, nothing happened, I shot it, nothing happened, I made the peds get out by shooting it until it was about to explode, they got out and just stood still doing nothing. One of the peds was a Father(priest) which is really weird because I never seen one on the streets, the whore was whatever's I seen many of them. I shit the whore in the head and beat the priest to death but nothing happened so I continued on my mission.

The part that sucks is that I went back to see if they were there and they weren't. By bad luck I wasn't paying any attention to the time or day, I just know that there was daylight. And I was going to save the game to go back to the exact same time and day but I overwritten the data. If anyone wants to go check it out feel free to do so, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the mission Interdicition because it didn't happen the first time. I'm sure the day is not a Tuesday or Wednesday because I went there those days and didn't find smack.

As I was doing this I remembered the quote; "Take me to my Father-Father Brother-Uncle." and all the other Father related quotes. Could this be a vital clue to cracking Epsilon?? Or just a Easter Egg/Refernce/Spoof? If I would have done something differently would the Father took me to the Red Truck with the dent on the right fender?

This message was edited by GTA Legend on Dec 23 2008.
Hmm, I think ive heard Marvin say Kifflom at the end of his peice (this is at the end, only cause I started listening to WCTR at the end. )

At relating to the priest, ive seen a few movies where priests are into the whole *gha-hem* prostitution side of things, and ive never NEVER seen ANYONE around there, might do, cause i doubt R* would put an easter egg in there for you to abandon your quest, and such a hard quest. (God bless heat seeking ;-D)

All in all, good find, add it to the list.

P.S. According to Grand Theft Wiki (http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Search?search=Priest&go=1) there is no such thing as a ped Priest... hmmmm

Sure this is open, anyone can join. Infact we need people to help, only me and EuroLife are mostly keeping things up.

Yeah, it was sad to see Verdant get perma'd, we actually exchanged a few pm's about the whole Epsilon mystery.

Also if their is no priest, then it makes the whole situation special.

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

Sure, ill help, I have a bit of an obsetion with things I cant solve.

I was just serching GTA SA for any more hints, and i found a camera and took some pics, but, i know this sounds nooby, but i dont know how to put them in a post *awkward smile*

I am looking around blueberry atm, no success.

Another 2 things I have found. I was investigating BoB earlier and found this...

1) On the mountain to the north of the Horseshoe Pass is a ledge, when you get onto the ledge and have a look around, youll see there is a arch-shape on the wall, maybe a door (i have a pic)

2) Also in BoB, i found the thrashed Glendale, it was red with white roof, i approched it, and as i did, an explosion happen on the hill to the south, i got into the glendale to investigate, but as i drove up there, a BLUE glendale came bolting towards me, i swerved out of the read, only to have it do a 180 and start driving towards me, but only for a little bit, i got out, and to my horror, no-one was inside...... ever happened to anyone else??

Also, i was thinking into the whole website instructions, and maybe we taking it to far, maybe we need to rethink. For example

"Travel through the dawn"

Could mean to travel TROUGH a PLACE thats related to dawn?

"Look for a red truck with a dent in the right hood"

Could mean LOOK for it, and not DRIVE it

"Raise your left hand and recite the words: Take me to my father-father, uncle-brother, kifflom!"

CJ raises his left hand when he drowns, and as to speaking, maybe a USB mic (like that that comes with sing star) is needed?? Maybe to say it when hes drowning in water near a place thats named something like dawn with a red truck in front of you??

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

Hey, sorry for the double post, but ive just made a discovery in blueberry, down the street, there is an abandonded (was for me) liquor store, it has an open door and show-in windows (first that ive seen) Inside it there is a small room to the back, which contains about 100 cases of Gars Large and a radio.... now where have i seen this before, oh in torenos first marked mission...... or its one of his missions, maybe theres a link, but i dunno, only thing of interest in a country town...

EDIT:

I think we should turn our attention to Montgomery, cause ive only been exploring it for 5 mins, and im already convinced that its tied in with Epsilon, have a look at all the windows at night, and youll see why.....

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

We all know about the broken Glendale's. The one that drives down the hill does so just because it spawns on a slope, but where exactly did you see a broken Glendale in Angel pine?

The explosion was just a random plane crash, nothing new, it happens all the time, everywhere.

I think you'd benefit from reading everything at myepsilon.org

P.S: Wery good to see more people investigating this! I'm gonna go do that right now.

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

hi can i join this plz, ive read all of the 1st part of this thread and part 2 (this one) and i think over the years ive found a couple of discovery's.

1. Like Enforcer872 i had an encounter with the ghost glendales in BoB. Not the same as he did though...

It was about half a year ago IRL, and i was wondering around the ghost glendale spot waiting for a complete red one to roll down the hill, then when it came down it stop like it should. Then i turned around and ran down the hill towards the other ghhost glendale what is meant to stay still at all times coz its not on a slope, but when i started to run, the car what was Red with White top started to drive up the hill and it disappeared into the rock. I honestly mean it i watched it with my own eyes, no one was in it but it just drove up the hill a bit with its tyres turned right, and it just popped through the rock and never to be seen again.

2. This hasn't happened to me or anyone i no but its a suggestion. No how it says highest point in the game, what is Mt. Chilliad, on the bike track there is a truck sometimes if u search it on youtube ya no wat i mean, but if you follow that truck what goes around the bike track through the cave/arch and down onto the road evebtually maybe it takes you to the cult, (sometimes the truck will be a car or motorcycle, but maybe we would have to wait until a red truck goes down the bike track, ive seen one go down there before but never thought about it till now)

Hope i helped

re: Cracking the Epsilon Code II

I have never really tried to go see the "ghost car", but its been proven not to tie in with anything.... but you never know, might get someone to investigate it.

The Glendale in angel pine is parked around the Sawmill, on the opposite side to Angel Pine, and btw, it spawned red for me, but I didnt bother picking it up.

Ive made a few new discoveries:
1) Is it normal for all the people in "the farm" to dissappear? (this means the people in the field too)

2) Also, in "the farm", there are a set of windows with the top middle cut out, maybe a referance?

3) The ONLY fully red glendale that ive EVER seen, spawned in the BoB...

4) As ive earlier stated, all the windows in montgomery glow BLUE at night, so just like "the farm", any link?

5) Also in mongomery, there is an unmarked well-stacked pizza hut that has a walkthrough door, maybe just a glitch, but was fun to find.

quote EuroLife_13
The worms come when you walk on the sand with a regular, rhythmic pattern. If you walk arrhythmically, they will not sense you. (They're very sensitive to vibration)".
6) Didnt it say that Fromage's car was damaged by a great sand worm??

Thats that for me

The pics on my computer, so how do i work around that??

I JUST REMEMBERED!!!!!

At the beginning of the game, when you just boot it up, its has the pre-credits.... I was watching those, and on of the pics is at dawn/arvo, its in the desert, and its of the 2 pillars to the south-west of your abandoned airstrip, and when you go to the top, and look down, youll see rocks in the form of a demented arrow, and guess where the arrows pointing to..... you guessed it, the abandonded shopping mall, so, it must have something to do about it.

Will someone please steak out that mall?? Im investigating "the big ear" and the birthmark atm, ill report back anything of interest..

Go to a picture hosting site like photobucket or ImageShack, then get the URL and post it how I told you in the above post.

Right now I am starting again from the mission "wear flowers in your hair" to get to the interdiction mission again.

The mission wear flowers in your hair is kinda weird, the truth makes you go to the hospital and police station just to see some mysterious guys in the van and keeps CJ totally in the dark about them.
