take away the guns, the blood, the stealing, and the hookers and you have a grea...nevermind. Maybe they should just leave it alone, having the M rated tag just says it by itself. ------------------- SAMPLE

Not to spoil the mood, but I don't really see the problem with this. I believe most of us would agree that a 5-10 year old doesn't have any business playing GTA. So what is wrong with putting this information on the net for parents? Sure most parents don't care enough about what their kids are playing to keep them from playing with real guns and drugs, but for those parents who are gunuinely interested this is a good post. Kids can play Sponge Bob or one of those games, but for parents who don't know much about games, this information is invaluable. Now having said that I plan to buy the double pack the second its available. ------------------- I once had to decide between a couple of roads. I thought for a minute and then made my own.

Well, 10-12 year olds should be able to play it because if they are mature enough (judged by parents) they wouldn't do anything crazy anyway. ------------------- SAMPLE

quote Jn_JoshI agree, however I will say that most parents are not checking what games their kids are playing these days. I've seen kids who already have an anger/violence problem playing extremely violent video games. I happen to believe that often times this would help a kid release some of his anger etc, etc, but I've seen too many of these kids only get more violent after playing. Now, I am from Louisiana, and we probably have a higher population of "troubled kids" than elsewhere, but why not enforce the ratings? They do it with movies, and it won't cut into sales to do the same with Video games. That way you at least make the "parental figure" look at the game before their kids start playing it. Heck, I know some adults that don't have any business playing these games. Now having said all this understand, I believe GTAIII and Vice City to be tame compared to any FPS out there and most RPGs. I'm in no way bashing GTA, I just think we don't need kids playing it. ------------------- I once had to decide between a couple of roads. I thought for a minute and then made my own.

If parents can't teach their kids the difference between fake and real, then there is definitely something wrong with their parental skills. The biggest problem is that we have so many "active parents" that are trying to lead their children to live a G-Rated, STERILE life. All this does is hinder the learning and experience process, therefore causing more problems in the longrun. All these "active parents" need to do is teach the difference between right and wrong, and anyone who actually deserves to be out of the genepool will instinctively understand. Sure, videogames are violent, but who cares? They aren't real. If there is a "Mature" label on any particular game, then the developers have done their part. It is then the parents' responsibility to clarify to their kid(s) about the content of said game. The general [ignorant] public needs someone to blame for their stupid mistakes, and too many times, innocent people are punished because some illiterate jackass can't understand that "Mature Content" means just that. Don't let your adolescent child play a game meant for adults. PLAIN AND F---ING SIMPLE!!! Don't shoot yourself in the foot and then wonder why it hurts....fools.

I agree with everyone. Some parents don't care enough to bother, and this helps them to better influence their children. But some parents are overly thoughtful, and this meager, biased report would give them the wrong turn of information purtaining to a video game that is, just that, a video game. Honestly, people. It's a game, and if you can't see that, it's not the children that need help, it's you. ------------------- ----------------------------------- Southside/Represent

I don't have children, but if I did I would let them play it when they're a teenager. I wouldn't let like, a todler play it but having seem much of the content in both GTA 3 and Vice City I would really have rated both 15 (BFCC rating, Americans might not understand...) or 16+ (PEGI, another british census...) But who cares, I'm not having children in a big hurry, I'm only 18.

parents think theyre so protective about tryin to hide games/movies/cds that they think are bad for kids...but if u think about it, if kids know theyre not aloud to do a certain thing, it just provokes them and makes them want to keep doing it. and if parents are so protective, they should watch what their little faggot kids are buyin

I would just leave it up to the parents. There not blind they can see the big 'M' stamped on the box. I am sure most parents use their best judgement before buying these games. If you ask for this game and your parents don't get you it, it probably because they believe you are immature. Which you probably are. -------------------
