According to that article (which is false, see below), Scott Miller has reportedly confirmed (as much as anything can be confirmed with this game) that a "late 2008" release date is the target for the game, and that it may possibly be coming out on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Though that's actually it's been rendered false by George Broussard, though I find it interesting he says the process is moving forward and about seeing more of the game "sooner than later". Personally I still think it's good news despite this misinformation.

The Dallas Business Journal should be shot to pieces for raising hopes like that.

The Dallas Business Journal has hit back at 3D Realms. I found the last section of their article to be quite pompous and arrogant, focusing on how they generated press with the story and how it brought people to their website who'd never heard of them before. To be honest, if any website had broken the story they'd have got the same attention. The only thing setting DBJ apart from the rest is they're the ones who got the info, and because they put the info online when they apparently shouldn't have, the only thing they've done is ensure they'll never get any future information. And worse, it means 3D Realms may be more quiet on furture information about the game.
