I downloaded the demo today and can connect and sign in under my name all right, but whenever I try to join a game I always get this 'SendChallenge' message coming up. It just keeps repeating itself every second and nothing happens.

Anybody know what's wrong with it, or if I'm doing something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with you, 90% of my game expierence playing the demo is trying to connect to a server and being shut down. So it's not just you, I always get SendChallenge (1), SendChallenge (2), SendChallenge (3), SendChallenge (4), etc, etch. It gets annoying. All I can say just keep on trying, 10% of the time you'll get lucky. Hopefully the devs can work on this. Other then that, when I connect into a server and actually get to play, I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed in the game. I know it's a demo/beta but if this is the game at it's current state, I can't imagine it being released in less then a month.

Well, if the game isn't that great then, I don't think I'll bother trying to play it. I'll just stick to Call Of Duty.

Yeah, but I was looking into getting something which I could start off in when it was new. Most other types of these games have been going for ages, it's harder to get into them because almost everyone kicks ass at them by now.

Well, after successfully playing it a few times on the Riverside map, I still have mixed feelings about it. I loved being able to sneak around on the high ground away from everybody and sniping the snipers on the opposite team; but I had some bad experiences with it as well.
I got killed about 5 times by the same guy because we only had one base left in Conquest, which I kept respawning at with only a pistol and a knife; he was always there with a massive machine gun. That's more down to the other people not really playing properly though. Oh yeah, and then there was the guy on our team who TKd loads of us because he couldn't get the vehicle locker open.

I didn't find the close-combat to be very satisfying really. I'd turned the graphics down even worse than they were, my Ping was about 80 all the time, and I have a pretty new and decent comp but the game was still jerky and that made it really hard for me to aim. Because of this, it was also pretty much impossible to hit somebody at a distance using anything other than a sniper rifle. Even those really accurate rifles didn't work because the sights and the targets didn't move smoothly enough. Running up and down steep hills was also frustrating. When going down, my character did a little jump down and then stopped all the time, and it just takes ages to run up. You have to zig-zag your way up them.
