Hello,

I am in Act One at the dryad colony with my anti plaue vial, playing at veteran level, so my second tour of DS2.

I have just killed all the baddies and should now be addressing the Azunite scholar there. I seem to remember that he clears that blocked passage so I can continue......but he does nothing now.

Just stands there and when I address him all he says is; "help me young one".

This would be funny if I were not stuck in the game now. I cannot go further and I cannot go back because the game only allows one, your latest save......

What's wrong? what can I do? This must be a bug or a fault in the game, right?

Anyone who can help me here?

l think you must have a bug - l have just been through this bit - and he talks and then clears the way for you to proceed to the kithraiye caverns - not sure if you can find another way around to them or not...you have to find the portal to him on the beach then l think? l so hate that the game cant be saved like in the previous 2 arranna games, guess the writers of this game loved diablo as it is similiar in many ways

have you looked around for other enemys? other then that I have no clue

I had the same problem. I solved it accidentally by completing some side quests... When i returned to him after that, he let me past :-) (sorry for the funny english, im from CZ)

i got the same thing, did anyone ever find out how to fix this glitch?

just kill every enemy of any kind in the immediate vicintity and then go back to him. if not jsut finish some side quests as was mentioned and then go back.

the problem is that with those plagued dryad dudes you kill, there is an area of effect trigger from the scholar when you kill them.
when you go up to him, you know the fence that you walk through to kill the plagued guys?
well one may have gone out of the fenced area when you killed it therefore not triggering the effect.

The person who solved it by doing the secondary quests..
i think the plagued guys respaned and then you killed them in the area
