I just got this game(used and without an instruction book)
and was just wondering how you can make your wrister more powerful. Every time I try and take a wrist shot its super weak and never goes in! The only way I can seem to score is with one timers and break-aways.
Can anybody help me?

That's basically the only ways I score too, but I get good rebounds every so often, and I occasionally get odd goals to go in, like the real NHL. What setting do you have your controls on? I use the Advanced controls and I don't see much of a problem with the wrist shot. If you just tap the square button, it's a snapshot, which can be rather weak. I hold the square button for a moment (half a second instead of a tap), and my wrist shots are stronger. You may want to increase the shot speed bar in the options somewhere if you still find it too slow.

Oh, and the game is meant to be difficult. Don't expect simple wrist shots to go in. Not everyone can be Brett Hull [waves fist at Hull]
