Just a quick question, is it possible to use the EyeToy with your PC as a webcam? If so, how?

I've got it plugged in etc, my windows then searches for the drivers needed to install it. Ideas anyone?

i have tried it but it racognised that it was the eye toy but it didnt say it was installed

I think Eye Toy is just for having yourself on TV playing addicting/cool mini games thats all. If you could use it as a webcam thats cool since I get more features for my money but I have no use for a webcam tho

You can't, the hardware is different in someway.

if you want to use a webcam on your ps2 however, check out Police 24/7.

Unlikely to be for PS2 IMO, I've heard the PS3 eyetoy will read emotions and such, and so Sony may hold network eyetoy until PS3's release.

I got it to work in about 10 mins so i can now use my eyetoy for my ps2 and my pc! woooooo crrazzyy! but it does dish out some pretty nice quality. Have fun!
