Okay, I have beaten the game, well not completely, but you know what I mean. When I went through the whole story, I never once faced Sephiroth. Is there a reason behind this? Also, does it matter what difficulty you are in, in order to face him? Because, I was playing on Beginner(Yes, I was new at the game .), and he only appeared once in the entire story. So, I'm thinking you only get to face him when, you are in Normal or Hard. Is that correct?

To answer your question, no, you can face him no matter what difficulty you're on. Just go back to the Dark Depths in Hollow Bastion and he'll be standing looking at Maleficent's castle. Approach and talk to him- that will trigger a battle.

And he's optional, so you don't HAVE to fight him, but if you do, and beat him, you get something cool.

Dang, he sounds hard...even harder than Xemnas or Xaldin...well, I will never be able to beat him...might as well try though. I really want that weapon of his! Oh, and thanks Empress Dowager Lu. Now then, where are the Dark Depths? Never saw that place in Hollow Bastion.

It's past where you fight the 1000 heartless battle. If you can remember, it's where you meet Saix and Maleficent "saves" you by teleporting you to the real of darkness.

He's actually not that hard if you have your forms at a decent level, for the outside form abilities.

Oh, so just go to the place where you fought Demnyx, go past that, and then just go straight? Alright, thanks, Empress Dowager Lu(Hmm, aren't you Heavens Grudge?). Now, time to get my butt handed to me.

if you want to get to the dark depths without going through the bit where you faced demyx (just a short cut here in less time and less enemies), enter hollow bastion (or radiant garden:suikiasmile:) from the gummi ship area via the crystal fissure, dark depths is only two 'screens' away from there: it's only one screen away from the great maw, where you fight the 1000 heartless.
