SE consistently denied any plans to take FFXIII multiplatform. No further explanation is needed. Really, why else do you think the announcement was so unexpected?

I guess so. The other SE games up for show (LR, SO4, IU) bored the shit out of me, I lost hope and then he toddled back on stage. <3

So are you guys still sticking with PS3's or do you perhaps feel you may purchase a 360?

I'm not worried because I have all three consoles. However, SO4 looks infinitely better than FFXIII anyway and I expect it to be on PS3 as well. (Really, like 70% of their fanbase is on PS3 so there's no way they wouldn't release for both).

I'm more excited for Star Ocean 4 than FFXIII, no lie. I loved Star Ocean 3 than most RPGs I played last gen.

Star Ocean 1 and Star Ocean 2 are some of the best games of their respective generations. Star Ocean 3 could've been one of the top games of the last gen if they had just made a better script and hired some real VAs.

I haven't checked into Star Ocean 4 yet, but I'm pretty sure that it'll be a promising game.

Also, I really see no point to getting a 360. I can't think of any games I want that aren't also on the PS3. I think that the shock of the announcement has a lot of people forgetting that even though FF is going multi-platform, it is in fact MULTI-PLATFORM. Us Sony consumerists STILL get the game.

If the exclusivity had been traded, then I'd be upset. But I probably wouldn't buy a 360 just for the one game. I'm not huge into gaming anymore anyways. Besides, Diablo 3 was announced, and that's all I've ever wanted out of life.

No, it's being released on the PS3 first. It's still a timed Sony exclusive, which makes sense. The game initially was in development for the PS3. Makes no sense for them to start developing and altering for a different system.

SO4 is actually only confirmed for 360 at the moment. It'll undoubtedly be on PS3 as well, but it hasn't actually been confirmed yet.

Well, Star Ocean or no Star Ocean, I'm still satisfied with what I have. It's not like a Playstation costs thousands more than an Xbox. I'm not expecting it to do my laundry or give my life a sense of completion or anything. If I'm already dropping a fat wad on a system, might as well get the one I'm leaning towards anyways.

I still play MGS4 a lot and I still have PS2 games I haven't finished yet. I'm definitely happy with my PS3 but it'd be nice for them to get to work on their first party titles.
