What I don't understand is after two games, why are they taking the Main character out of the third one? I'm just really confused about that.

They probably wanted a change or decided to make the story more in depth.
There could be plenty reasons.

The only reason I can think of is, that KH3 is in the past before Sora obtained the keyblade, but I would have liked to see him in it.

Yeah I know, but if you read all the other posts they are talking about it in the past before Sora in a few posts. I'd like to see what the letter says too.

Well, I hope they don't end the series with 3 just like Halo 3 was ended with 3.

But their very separate games, so they might not end it with 3..

Plus, Kingdom Hearts has a more massive storyline than Halo.

Man I hope so. I really dislike Halo. It's just like all the other first person shooters.

There has been close to nothing when it comes to information on KHIII. Sora has been neither confirmed for the game or confirmed to not be in the game. Personally, I think it would be a terrible decision to take him out of the game, and that the game would lose a lot of money for that reason. Therefore, I think Sora will most likely be in KHIII. But that's just my speculation, and other people need to understand not to say he is or isn't in the game, because it just creates all these rumors.

They can't take him out of the game. His story isn't even close to being over! And that cliffhanger with the note from Mickey wouldn't make any sense if the next game was before Sora came into the story. It would be like throwing away the intro to the next game!

i reckon that in the story line you have to go past certain times and then when sora got the keyblade would be near the ending or it could be different story's like in the menu it would have

They definetly won't take Sora out of KH3, they'll include him. Why would they take out the Keyblade Master?

I hope Roxas plays a part in KH3.

I DO believe that they (Squaresoft) said (ages ago) that the story was NOT focusing on Sora and Co (that they aren't in it I think it was)....

By association, Roxas won't be in it either >_>

Though on the [PSP?] KH game, there is a character that LOOKS like Roxas (but isn't)....

When Nomura said the story would not focus around Sora, he was talking about BBS and 358/2 Days. Those were the next games he was talking about. When he said that in an interview, BBS and 358/2 Days had not been announced yet. Sora being the main character in the true KH3 is still completely unknown.

The three characters, remember, are all new characters. The closest thing would ancestors, even parents, depending on how far in the past this is, which if I remember correctly it isnt that far at all, maybe 7 years, but I have no source for that.

There really has not been any interview about KH3, only interviews about the unnanounced BBS and 358/2 Days which we thought was KH3
