I thought I'd create this thread as I've gathered numerous information about the next game, which will surely not be called Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura confirmed this in a recent interview when talking about KHII: Final Mix. Many of Final Mix's additions are linked with the next KH game in a way. You will see for yourself when the future becomes the present. Now lets move on to the essential part of this thread. This is what Nomura has confirmed so far about the next KH game:

I'm going to be n00bish and open this thread. Yes, some contents of this should be in the FM Forum, but the secret ending is after all hinting the next KH, and therefore has nothing to do with the game itself.

This explains a lot. I'm sure you all figured out this already, but let me go through this thoroughly...

After looking at the cutscene when the man and Zexion were chatting, you can tell when the Secret Ending is based on. Because the guy says: 'Years and years ago, on this earth, there were a bunch of guys with keyblades who had a big fight. When those guys disappeared, all was left was a man who lost his memory. Xemnas-no, Xenahort was found by Ansem around that time, right?' (This is only half of the cool stuff he tells us)

This explains why Mickey has the keyblade from Yen Sid's tower in the Secret Ending...it's when he was Yen Sid's apprentice, still in training. (In other words, ages ago). I don't know how Roxas could fit into that because he wasn't supposed to be born then (Sora turned heartless in KH1), but we'll just say that's something we could theorize on. But this explains 'Xenahort's Memory...', it's the memory he lost before Ansem found him.

None of the three knights or the old dude looked like Xenahort, so I wonder if the guy in the mask (On the old guy's side) is what Xenahort was before he was found...The other similairity in one of them is that the old guy's clothes seem similair to those Xenahort's heartless wears in KH1. Maybe they're different and my eyes have gone weird, I can't tell from all the fast and furious action.

The other interesting thing the guy said was about the Tower from CoM..."Castle Oblivion". At this time the Organization were in search of this new base. The guy said that Xemnas didn't tell the organization that the tower was for Xemnas to find the "Room of Awakening", opposed to the "The Room of Slumber" (Where Xemnas talks to some pile of armour, whom he calls "friend"). According to this guy, there is another "friend" of Xenahort's in Castle Oblivion.

So, what do you guys think about all the new information we got from FM? Have any theories or statements?

The first is somewhat tedious and just has Xemnas walking through the base, but at the end you get a good shot of the "friend." The second is the scene that 77 was refering to where Zexion is speaking to Vexen then probably Xigbar. The translations are in the video information.

Some very interesting points you have made there KH77, although I won't be veiwing the secret movie until I complete Final Mix and view it there. I'm currently playing it on Critical mode, but anyway I found a few more interesting points.

I heard that if Riku,Sora, and Kairi do show up, they'll be little fairies like YUna. Paine and rikku were in kh2

Wow, I've looked at some cutscenes from both games, and the final mix looks hard, with the members. I just saw someone get owned by Marluxia

Remember Nomura might be saying There will be a KHIII, but something will come before that. We might get another GBA or DS game like CoM, but based from KHII instead.

I don't think Sora, Riku or Kairi was even born when there was the keyblade war.

I was thinking those three knights could be like relatives of Sora, Riku and Kairi as they look quite similair, but maybe it's just the usual Nomura design getting on to me...he also says "most of them aren't". Well, one of them's gotta have some sort of relation with SRK, right?

Zexion becomes more and more important as the plot deepens...(By the way, that book weapon is a complete rip-off from Kuroro's weapon from Hunter X Hunter) He's probably got a lot of information about Xemnas etc, because we see him involved in talking about Xemnas's real intention.

We still haven't figured out what Xenahort wanted to do when he was an apprentice, which Ansem stopped him from doing. Did he actually ever manage to succeed?

Wait... will this game be in the past or future? From what I've heard on these boards, it will be in the past, but I've heard from other places that it will be in the future. Has the setting been confirmed yet?

Nobody really knows. Nomura said it could be in the past, but in the future. Or something like that. But, on Final Mix + you're able to go to the location where the secret ending is to fight one of the Knights as a secret boss, so I don't think it's in the past.
