So what happens when you need to charge it?

It charges just fine, just doesn't work during gameplay.

So when not playing I leave it to charge but if you move the controller in the slightest all the red lights flash.

Fair enough, you're supposed to play wireless when it doesn't need charging anyway though I think. If you usually leave it connected then you might find your battery life is pretty short.

I always thought you got a better connection if you didn't play wireless but I'm playing this game atm and I'd be in a sword fight and I'd press R1 but my attack didn't register but is ok wireless.

I bet that's how you usually beat me at FIFA because I wasn't playing wireless.

Yeah, wireless is definitely a split second more responsive.

Before I resolved the problem though I started looking at some ps3 deals and there are some good offers on an 80gb, mine is a 40 atm.

I'll stick with this one till it dies as I'm not really sure what is the best one to get.
