Does anyone have the town cottage, WITHOUT any cheats?

why does the cottage have to be 1 million dollers (more or less i dont know)i mean, who can get that much money?

I honestly have no idea why it's so expensive. but I'm presuming something went wrong in the localization process messed something up in the price. The Japanese price for it is only half what the English price is for it.

Anyway, it will take a very long time. You'll probably have a lot of work to do if you want to attempt it. I'm currently trying to come up with a strategy to get more money faster without cheats but don't expect anything anytime soon if your interested.

I recommend getting the harvest sprites to help you a lot.

Well the reason it is so expensive is probably cause' you can bring your daughter into it and maybe sleep,cook and anything else you do at your home home!

I've given up on that idea. Getting that much money is too hard for me. .__. But sometimes i try really hard though, but i still can't get it. *sigh*

Even if I do get enough money (which I doubt...) I still have to get a bunch of lumber. Even with an upgraded axe it's difficult. Then again I suppose I could buy some...

It's not so hard when you've unlocked Won's selling feature and sell all the Van's Favourites you win to him for something like 57.000 gold a piece. And ofcourse the golden lumber the mayor gives you ; Won buys that too. Could be done in a few years.

i thought the cottage costs 100 million gold pieces. i have 31 million right now...not even a third of the way there.

Noo, I really want the town cottage, though.
I'm on my second year, married to Rick for 12 successful days, and I already have almost 200, 000 G.
I sell stuff to Won everyday; including the Van's Favourites, although I only get those about once every 2 seasons (IF that). I sell them for about 56, 000 G.
I hope to get the town cottage soon, though.
