If I marry Kai and leave popuri behind would Rick still marry Karen? Because I have read somewhere that Rick would only be married if Popuri is already married.
And, where can i find the cursed tools? Is there any rules to follow before getting them? I cant find it how much I try.

the cursed tools are in the winter cave. there's one in each of these levels i believe-29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79. you dig for them. it's very hard. i spent days looking for them. good luck

You can only find them once you have all your tools upgraded to mythril-level. Then you will find them on the indicated levels, but you need a LOT of energy.
The best way is to save upon entry of each level, find the stairs down, restore, walk straight to the stairs and reveal them, save again in your second saveslot (just in cade the lower level has no stairs, which happens occasionalle, go down and restart the routine.
This way you can clear each level with a maximum of one bang with the hoe and maybe a few with the hammer if rocks are in the way. Stil, you need as may elly leaves as you can carry to make it to the bottom.

i got to the last level, 255 in the spring mine with just 2 elli leaves. but i had to do what you said-saved and went back whenever i hit a dead end. i feel it's a little like cheating but i tried several times to do it without saving it and i only got to level 80.

I don;t consider every shortcut or save-loadtrick cheating really. Cheating is when you really 'break in' in the game. I read this can be done, althoug I don't know (and don't want to know) how -like marrying a guy with a blue heart ???)

As the game takes long enough and is more then enough of a challenge, I always use the save/load-routine in the mine (or you'll NEVER get to the bottom of it), or sometimes try to 'influence' the weather (like restoring your game to bedtime if the next morning the TV predicts rain or a hurrycane on the next day , and you really don't feel like taking all your cattle in). Or saving before a contest and reloading if you loose.....

What REALLY feels like cheating - but isn't - is selling Van's Favourites or Harvest SpPrites Teaparty-invitations to Won for tons of money. So I hardly ever do.

see, i'm backwards. i think of the save and load thing as cheating though i did it to get the teleport stone. but i don't see the selling van's favorite as cheating. i mean, it's just something else you can sell, like fishing or picking up the leaves.

im trying to activate the black heart event for gray and mary, but nothing's happening. He used to be purple heart around spring, and since then i've been giving him red grass to lower it to black. It's fall and still no event. help?
