Anastasia Romanov |
|
So it's been a few years since I have played the game, but one thing that always stood out as strange to me was the fact that Anastasia used an egg as a weapon. How was that at all practical, I thought. Why would Sacnoth make her use a weapon that seemed both useless and comedic at the same time.
That's when I later read a book recently that kind of enlightened things for me. There was a craftsman known as Carl Faberge that was commissioned by one of the first Romanov rulers to craft an egg of jewels for his wife every Easter in a gesture of love. Nicholas II continued this and extended it to his female children as well. This would explain why Anastasia uses it as her choice of weapon. I don't know why she has such a fascination with photography, though I guess it was just thrown in there as an additional extra... Interesting, thanks. Seems the makers of this game have a very rich knowledge of worldly things

Is this the same Anastasia Romanov that was 'killed' and later there were heaps of people claiming to be her? If so then I saw an old film on it years ago in High School.

Yes she is the same Anastasia Romanov as you mentioned.
She and the family were killed by bolseviks in 1917. But because her and Alexei's corpses weren't found, so some girls claimed herself as Anastasia.. But later she already had been proved that she wasn't Anastasia. But I've heard that Anastasia's corpse has been found not so far from others, is it right?? I just want to believe that Anastasia was lost, not died..

quote Hell FireDid you just think she was some random charcater? She's supposed to be based on the actual Anastasia Romanov which is why there are so many similarities and traits that she shares with the famed one in real history. And no, her body has never been found. -------------------

Haha so I just believe that Anastasia Romanov was lost somewhere someplace..
I like Anastasia in SH2.. I will be so sad if she died by a killer in her real life. I'm happy if she was just lost^^

There have been theories to what happened to her, and to her younger brother Alexei whose body was also not located, but nothing is concrete.

Actually the remains of Alexei and one of his sisters were discovered last year. People still dispute whether the sister was Maria or Anastasia (though it was probably Maria) but either way, the entire family has now been accounted for, the pretenders were just fakes and the entire family was murdered in 1918.
