I Have An ATI All-in-wonder 7500 64 ddr AGP
I am so Upset with this purchase and the bad part is, i did reseach it to be sure i had a system that met the Minimum Requirements. My System is not very fast but i plan on upgrading in the next couple weeks but Card minimum said it should work. I have :Win98se ,DFI P5bv3+/e(Via Chipset) ,AMD K62 450mhz CPU,256 MB SDRAM PC100 Ram, Soundblaster PCI, Diamond 56k Modem, Compusa 17" Monitor, Maxtor 20Gig HardDrive, After working 3 Straight Days on this (Updating & Patching these: Via 4 in 1, Amd, ATI,Bios on Mainboard, Microsoft 98 Updates,Win Media Format CODECs, Reinstalled Win98se 4 Times from scratch Tried Every Driver I could get my hands on, Official and Unofficial. I always get this error "There is a problem with your display settings The adapter type is incorrect or the current settings do not work with your Hardware" Whats weird is that when i go to Display Properties...Settings..Both Monitor Pictured here are greyed out unless i select display 2 in a line that drops down and it has 2 monitors listed 16 colors Only (1 Default & one My Compusa monitor)No Settings will ever change or save i have disabled each and both in device manager I went to safe mode to insure extra stuff wasn't installing in the device manager. I Usually am pretty Literate about computers but I am stumped It seems Like I am having a problem with the Dual Display and I only want to use 1 Monitor, I bought this for the TV Part and The Remote is pretty Cool (Its the only thing i get working). Does Anyone Have any suggestions?? some say its Via and Drivers and Amd,could be that DVI To VGA adapter?? I Just Don't Know Thanks Sleepless in Indiana liz Sorry so long I just want all the facts presented

Make sure you have your compusa monitor installed. If it says Default monitor you won't be given the options for other resolutions or color depths.
ATI always has dual display on stand by. Just make sure the default monitor is off. Otherwise your monitor should work fine.
I'm pretty sure it's just your windows settings and not your drivers or OS. I've had this problem before with the Radeon 7000

I Finally figured it out wachting Tv As I am online typing this Cool ok My Problem was this i copied it from ati website after 6 long days of searching. "Fixed Frequency Monitor Setup Tips
A "fixed frequency monitor" is one which operates only at a specific horizontal frequency. In some cases, the term is also applied to monitors which support a small range of horizontal frequencies, but only when this range does NOT include the standard VGA signal (31.5 kHz horizontal).
Most high-end, high-resolution, fixed-frequency monitors only support horizontal sync signals in the 50-65 kHz range, well beyond the VGA standard.
These monitors will not synchronize to the standard text and graphics modes of a VGA adapter. This means that the monitor will not sync during: system POST CMOS setup text mode boot menu DOS text mode VGA graphics in DOS games VGA graphics in applications and operating systems (e.g. Windows installation, WIN95 Safe mode) These monitors may, however, display high resolution graphics modes, usually 1024x768, 1152x864 or 1280x1024, assuming that the graphics adapter and display driver can be configured for the appropriate sync signals.
A fixed frequency monitor CAN be used with an ATI display adapter, but a certain amount of inconvenience is involved in setting up the operating system. In almost every case, a second monitor is required to complete the setup.
Procedure: Use a multisync monitor to configure the graphics card, install the appropriate drivers, and setup the operating system to launch in a graphics mode which is supported by the fixed frequency monitor.
Once the setup is complete, you can detach the multisync monitor and hook up the fixed frequency monitor.
It's important to understand that you will not be able to run any full screen DOS prompts, boot into MSDOS mode or change resolutions BECAUSE THE FIXED FREQUENCY MONITOR DOES NOT SUPPORT THE REQUIRED SYNC SIGNALS. You may find that frequent access to a standard multisync monitor is required for reconfiguration of the system (e.g. POST screens and CMOS) or of the operating system.

ok But I could Never Get My Generic Compusa 17" Monitor to work even when i tried the above steps I just Swapped my mom out she has a 17" to but hers doesn't have fixed frequency so It Loaded driver perfectly as soon as i plugged in this new monitor so anyone out there better check your monitor before purchasing this video card It must have auto frequency to even install the ATI Drivers.
Thanks For the help Liz i am so Happy Now !!!
