GIMP lowers the quality, even if it is JPEG 100%. PNG, pl0x?

That wallpaper is really really cool. BRILLIANT coloring, and absolutely wonderful effects done in the background around the girl. The bubbles and swirles are a nice addition, and having the starts slowly reaching out in a different color towards the top left of the image was a good idea as well.


Only advice I have for this is on the font--- there was lots of the color you used around that text, and so it made the coloring look a bit redundant in the text. If you had changed it up, or simply moved the text to the top right, it probably would have looked a bit better, but overall, that was awesome!

I think the Wallpaper could do without the text...

Oooh pretty wallpaper. The smaller, banner-sized canvas really doesn't do it justice, best viewed at full-size for sure!

Excellent use of colour and effects, certainly one of the more vibrant pieces I've seen around DigiPorts for a while now. As for the text, I agree with what the others have said, with such a chaotic (don't get me wrong, the way you pulled it off that's a good thing!) you really want be goin with something a lot simpler.

You could always try giving the piece a thick, black frame and having a simpler title in white, all-caps in the bottom of the frame.

Regardless, it really is a great wallpaper. Good job.

Anyway, took the suggestions and changed the wallpaper, as well as giving color to the stock image (skin, hair, lips, suit colors). I think she looks more "alive" now .

Typography in v.2 looks much better, but I'd still have to say that it looks better just without the text altogether.

I like both--they're very pretty wallpapers--but for some reason, I like the version without the text better. This gives extra oomph to the stock and the colors on the stock; for some reason I could never do text very well, and haven't been a huge fan of it. Props to you.

I'm liking the banner, it has a nice glossy feel to it. Stock is nice and sharp, and the shizz behind Sora looks good too. However i'd just balance out the colours of the background either side of the stock.

Other than what been said about the wall, textless looks best. Id also so just clean up the stock around the face, as it looks slight low quality, but that might be down to Gimp itself. Keep It Up!!

The right side of the sig looks fantastic, possibly the best right side of a sig i've ever seen from you ( ), but it falls apart towards the middle. A mess of c4d renders and fractals (?) hidden behind vile text.

If you got rid of the text (yeah, yeah I know it's for a gang) and erased saome of the c4d's to regain the flow, that'd be wicked.

greatbwfc - So THAT's what The Answer meant by GIMP lowering quality. I didn't notice it before...

Broom - I admit I used one C4D there . The rest are brushes and filters lol. Will probably edit it with your suggestions some time.

New banner's pretty good. Text is a nice change for you, but I'm not liking the box with Shana's eye in it. Background's nice, but the whole thing looks a little low quality... guess it can't be helped though. That's why I ♥ Photoshop.



Oh yeah, Sora banner's okay. It's a bit too sharp, (specifically the hair, and the "ACWW" text). You lose brownie points for using a C4D. ;[
