I can't believe I'm saying this, but the bevel finally looks...good. o_0 All except for text. It's better off flat, sorry. Still, the shapes look sweet with the bevel, imo.

I prefer the first version, tbh. XD
The clock and the text stand out more.

Also, you should bring those two things a bit together, because right now, it looks too unbalanced in terms of space and position. Like two separate things going on in different places.

Eh, not much of an update, but figured it's worth posting.

New avatar:



Spent a good 45 minutes on this, including thinking up the concept. Majority of the time spent on coloring, recoloring, and shading. Made using the rectangular and circular selection tools only (no path =O!).

Expect a wallpaper in my next update (1440x900). Need to make a new one for my new XPS1530 .

Wow, yea normally I would laugh if I heard someone spending 45minutes on a 65x65 canvas. Looking at the final product though, it was worth it. Very unique avatar. It has your style to it (whatever that may be) and looks pretty badass.

HATE the text on your SOTW week entry, but everything else is amazing. Very unique. You're good with the pen tool.

Lol, well I downloaded the newest version for GIMP (2.4) for my laptop and worked on the avatar there. So I also had to spend some time figuring out where the filters are lol. They made quite a few interface changes. Thanks, guys .

As for the SOTW entry, I couldn't find a nice cursive font for it, so I just went with the Fashion Victim font :/

Anyway, here's the wallpaper. Not sure what else to add. I'm somewhat out of ideas right now, so any suggestion would be awesome.

Made using the circular selection tool, gradients, paths, and the blur filter. Kind of a crossover between Lugia XD and Bahamut from Pokemon and Final Fantasy, respectively.

Wow that's really cool. I don't like how the wing looks like a completely separate entity that was just stuck on though. Love the colors however, and I really like the whiskers, haha. Background suits it too.
