The black surrounding the center part is a little plain and unactive. If you're going for more of a calm setting, than that's great. But if you're not, a bit more color could help.
Just my opinion though.

'Lugia' looks great (but Ho-oh's better) but i'm not too fond of the outer glow you used. Can I see the wp without it?

I like the one without the glow, tbh.
The style of your last piece is gorgeous. Tbh, I love the "un-attached" look of the wings.

Was originally gonna do a vector piece - focal was cropped and already vectorized a little bit, but then decided to just mix vector and the real stock. Mostly smudging. A bit of filtering. A hell lot of coloring. Haven't installed any decent fonts in my laptop, the default ones all came out bleh. Decided to just leave it textless.

Thought I'd break out of the usual anime/video game + abstract background trend and try to make something like a collage - there's a touch of humor intended with the stock picked, as well as the text. Background in the filmstrip is completely abstract, with a touch of cloud scenery. The black part on the top is left blank for desktop icons (this IS a wallpaper, after all).

Ok, let me start with the good.

The picture of the Cat in the film is really good! And so is the background behind it. And the text on the film.

But, The text is too dark at the bottom. I can't even read it!
And, the lightbulb above the cat isn't centered above his head.

Anywho, I don't think the light bulb needs to be centered any more; just rotated slightly. As Adam said, the text is hard to read. For some reason though, I'm not sure why, I find myself liking it. I don't really think that the very colourful background in the slide-thing fits, but overall something about it just appeals to me. Bleh, get Photoshop.
