re: moveset for the following: |
quote Ultimatethats pretty good but personally on articuno i would trade in blizzard for fly since you already have sheer cold. this way he would have an advantage over fighters. also on the dragonite, i would replace fire blast with thunderbolt since in this game most of the ice pokemon, save jynx and piloswine i think, are part water so the fire weakness would be negated. plus thunderbolt is more accurate. ------------------- http://aq.battleon.com/Build30/charview.asp?temp=44161483 http://aq.battleon.com/Build30/charview.asp?temp=44808243

quote Griffsportsyou misquoted me. i know jynx and piloswine are part psychic and ground. i was saying that i was pretty sure that they were the only ice pokemon in the game that are not part water ------------------- http://aq.battleon.com/Build30/charview.asp?temp=44161483 http://aq.battleon.com/Build30/charview.asp?temp=44808243

quote UltimateNo. To the OP: Your whole team minus Blastoise shares a common weakness to Aerodactyl. Moltres and Articuno can be OHKOed by a strong rock attack. Dactyl can handle most of Snorlax's attacks, while Dragonite and Zapdos share a standard weakness to Rock attacks. You have too many flying types on your team, I highly recommend you look this over and try to get more type coverage. I see far too many people in this forum who include all three legendary birds on their team, and this is a huge mistake. The legendary birds are far too overrated for my liking. Anyway, I'll give you good movesets for all of your Pokemon. Refer to Smogon.com if you disagree with mine. These movesets will be 90% smogon, 10% me. The following movesets are for Generation III. blastoise snorlax dragonite moltres articuno zapdos Blastoise - Leftovers - Bold EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/ 6 SpDef Your physical wall Mirror Coat Surf/Hydro Pump Ice Beam Earthquake Blastoise is UU, but this is a good moveset for him. Keep in mind this is Generation 3, so all Thunder moves are special. With his high special defense, Blastoise will survive one Thunderbolt from most UU Electric types and some OU Electric types. Mirror Coat dismisses that pesky electric threat. An alternative is Earthquake. Ice Beam takes care of grass types (Again Mirror Coat is also an option). If you want a reliable move with decent power, go for Surf. If you're an all out attacker and willing to risk missing once in a while, go with Hydro Pump. Both are great moves that provide STAB. BTW, Blastoise cannot learn Mirror Coat on his own. You need a female Blastoise and a Male Corsola, Mantine, or Milotic. Breed them, and an egg should produce a Squirtle sporting Mirror Coat. Snorlax - Leftovers - Sassy EVs: 200 Def/200 SpDef/110 HP Your Special Wall Rest Sleep Talk Body Slam Earthquake I cannot stress this enough; Rest/Sleep Talk is one of my favorite move combinations. This one is just my personal preference, but I think it's strong anyway. Look up other movesets if you don't agree with this one. Body Slam for STAB and 30% paralysis. Earthquake just because it's probably the best move in the game and it provides a lot of type coverage. Rest to keep him healthy, and Sleep Talk to pour on the offense while he's sleeping. Really though, this is one of many movesets that Snorlax can sport. Dragonite: I'll edit it when I feel like finishing
