hi all

magnemite i what him to know metal sound but i got one it didn't know it. And if i am right it's one of his starting moves but i think you can't breed magnemite.
err is there a way to get metal sound??

1)go to island 2- give the man two tinymushrooms or one big mushroom to learn a forgotten move

2)it can ONLY breed with ditto..it takes 5,120 steps to hatch it, it cant learn any traded moves cuz ditto is pretty much useless

3) metal sound is useless (lowers defense if im not mistaken...same as screech)

You're right, it is one of his starting moves. What level was the magnemite when you got it? If it's a high level it may not know a lower level move.

Lowering an opponent's Defense can be very useful. If a Pokemon is confused and you lower its Defense (through SCREECH or other means), then if your oppenent hurts itself in confusion, the amount of damage that it takes increases!

yeah cheers i'll try the tiny mushroom one and it lowers
sp.def i just think it may come in handy like in double battles metal sound from magnemite and a nice psyhic attack from my gengar and it may kill or damage the enermy lots thats the plan anyway

Why don't you just replace it with Steelix and it already has Screech? Meh. Tinymushrooms and Bigmushrooms (i think) are found on Paras and Parasect.
