They look around the floor but there is no sign of the key.

Regan: Let's go upstairs.
Gonzo: Yeh godo idea.

They head upstairs but there is still no sign of the key. Gonzo trips a trap and falls down through two floors.

Regan: Gonzo, can you hear me?
Gonzo: Yeh i can. I'm in a basement. Look for the trap!

Regan eventually stumbles across it and falls down.

Gonzo: I bet this is where the key is.
Regan: Yeh it would be in here. No one would ever find it.

They look around the floor for ages. But there is no signs of the key. They stumble across a book.

Regan: let's see what in this page which is elevated.

Regan: It's the key. Finally.
Gonzo: Let's read this, it looks interesting.

They both step on it and end up in front of the CInnabar gym.

Regan puts the key in and they enter.

Regan: Flareon, hit Rapidash with last resort!
Smyth: Arcanaine, use extremespeed on Ninetails!

Ninetails and Arcannine fainted.

Blaine stood on the other size dazzled from the performance.

They head over to the gym. They see a man standing there.

Man: You guys here for the gym?
Gonzo: Yeh we are.
Man: Your in luck.
Smyth: How?
Man: Well, the leader is here.
Regan: Really?
Man: Yeh, he's returned. When he heard you guys had won the 7th badge he came back.
Gonzo: Cool.
Regan: let's go in.
Smyth: Yeh let's.

The group enters the gym and sees the leader standing over in the darkness. They couldn't identify him yet.

???: I've been expecting you
Smyth: who are you?
Regan: show yourself!
???: who i am is no matter of yours. let's just begin. Go, Nidoking, Rhydon... Mewtwo!
Gonzo: huh, Mewtwo??
???: yes. it is your turn.
*The door slams shut. there is no mistake, they must fight.
Smyth: go Ninetales!
Gonzo: go Dragonair!

Regan: Espeon, dodge and use Psychic!
"Rhydon faints".
???: Go, Kangaskhan! Comet Punch!

Smyth: great job everyone, he only had Pidgeot left!

*Ninetales and Umbreon fly against a wall, finally making them faint*
Regan: Gonzo, it's up to you!

*hits, and Pidgeot falls to the ground with a "thud"*

Regan: great job guys! we won!
Gonzo: yes, good job everybody, and you Dragonair!
*Smyth and Regan run to their respective pokemon*

*the dark shadow disappeared into another room*

Gonzo: hey! after him!
*They all ran in*
Regan: it's dark in here... i can't see a thing!

*the room lights. It looks like a giant cave. Suddenly, a giant boulder breaks off from a cliff, falling right toward them.*

*jumps to push them out of the way*

Smyth: No it's really hurt.
Regan: Crap, we need to get you to a hospital!
Gonzo: There's one in Virdian, we can take him there.

Regan: Let's get Smyth up and help him to a hospital.

Regan and Gonzo lift up Smyth and they rush him to the nearby hospital.

They book him in and he is taken up into a room. Gonzo and Regan wait as Smyth is up being examined.

*the doctor walks out into the waiting room*

Doctor: uh... Regan and Gonzo?
R, G: that's us!
Doctor: alright... regarding your friend Smyth
Regan: what happened?
Gonzo: is he okay?
Doctor: well... i don't know how to tell you this... but his arm suffered serious trauma, and it is now in a paralyzed state. He may never be able to move it again.
Regan: never??
Doctor: well... there is a very slim chance it will recover over time, but the nerves were pinched pretty bad.
Gonzo: can he feel anything?
Doctor: nothing at all. He won't have any use of it for a very long time. You two may need to help him out.
Regan: of course. can we go see him?
Doctor: not now, he's sleeping. we'll be sure to let you know when he's awake.
