well to be honest, that isn't out of the ordinary. Like in my Emerald, I caught one after like 4hr. and my second after like 200, so... yeah

I have not only caught one shiny aron, but now another!
Seems pointless to me... I wish it had been a different pokemon.

i have played all pokemon games since red and blue completed the pokedex's and gotten all pokemon to lv 100 and i have played over 1000 hours on these games yet i still have never even seen a shiny pokemon in-game.

SHINIES ARE AWESOME!!! Especially when they're Legends. I especially like Shiny Rayquaza; he's black!!! Oh, yeah! Now that's a Shiny Pokemon, right?

in my leafgreen i have caught a shiny graveler and a shiny diglett. both stay shiny when evolved.

A Shiny Pokémon is an alternately colored variant of a Pokémon. They can be caught in any Pokémon RPG from Gold and Silver onwards, though the probability of catching or finding one is 1 in 8,192. The one major exception to this rule is the shiny Red Gyarados present in the Lake of Rage in the Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal games. There are various other ways of increasing the chance of getting a shiny Pokémon. In second-generation games, breeding a shiny Pokémon with a regular Pokémon has a higher chance (1 in 64) of producing a shiny Pokémon. Also, in Crystal, the Egg given to players by the Day-Care people has a 50% chance of hatching a shiny Pokémon. In Diamond and Pearl, the Poké Radar can be used to "chain" Pokémon of the same type, improving the odds of a shiny Pokémon with each link (up to 40 links, when the odds are 1 in 200).

I have had a shiny shellos (which i killed) and a shiny elecktrike (which I got but I no longer have game), and I don't remember getting anymore.

My friend had an action replay so she has a shiny everything - black rayquaza and pink kyogre and stuff.

I got bunch of shinies...but the only ones i have legitimately caught are a shiny shinx, geodude, and shiny gloom.

i have encountered with a shiny ditto. it was all blue. i even caught it. but my sister deleted my file

I'm still yet to encounter a Shiny on Leaf Green or Fire Red! I've encountered a few everywhere else, but never there! Boo, hiss...

I encountered a Shiny Golbat, dunno if I've mentioned this already but, on Crystal but my second Strength was a Critical Hit which beat it, I was not amused!

I encounter them randomly from time to time, but I have a Crystal save with all Kanto and Johto Shinies, and I also have, I think, a Sapphire save with all Hoenn and a few other random ones!

My first Magnemite was Shiny on LG...

In my Sapphire game, I found a blue Numel in the Fiery Path and evolved it into a black Camerupt. Also, I saw a shiny Bannette in Sky Pillar once, but I didn't catch it because i wasn't aware of shiny Pokemon at the time.
