I've heard that bringing the Heracross fangirl a shiny Heracross will net you something special (same with the Magikarp guy). Can anybody tell me if this is true and what the item is?

i found a shiny diglet and i only played for around about 4-6 hours but the only difference was it had a blue nose

Maybe it is!! But finding a Heracross just itself is uncommon.... and finding a shiny Pokemon is SUPER rare..

Maybe we'll never know.

But Magikarp... Jon24hours says he has a shiny Magikarp on Sapphire. Maybe he could trade it over to LG to test it...

I got a Charmander as my first Pokemon and to my horrors of horrors it was Shiny but this was something that I did'nt notice until it evolved into Charizard(it turned lack as it evolved). is getting a shiny first Pokemon even normal.

No, it's very rare. Most people that want a shiny Charizard have to try for a long time, as the chances are 1/8192.

Yeah, shiny's are insanely difficult to get. Though I know some people who get tons, and others, like me, that get none. >.> I figure there's some kinda built in luck mechanism that increases or decreases your chances of finding certain things or certain things happening.

i one time ran into a shiny pokemon and i didnt have anything to catch it with so i said @#$% it and killed it, then my next encounter was ANOTHER shiny, but different pokemon...i was kinda pissed but they were both pokemon i wouldnt have used anyway
