	-- I have also not encountered a shiny on my Ruby version, after playing 1941 hours on it. So your game time doesn't effect your shiny finding possibility.

	.:: Shadow pokemon are not shinies, they are shadow pokemon. I do believe you can get shinies in Colloseum, I have seen Shiny versions of Colloseum Pokemon on NetBattle, IIRC. ::.

Either you are lying, or extremly lucky in video games. I am going to go with the first option. And TMK, Shinies aren't obtained in a trade. ::.
