re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

I think u shud put in Tyranitar instead of Rhydon Moveset:
Crunch
Earthquake
Rock slide
Scary face
And now for you last pokemon u lack two type of pokemons
GRASS AND FLYING
SO either put in Venusaur if u can trade or Exeggutor
Movesets
FOR VENUSAUR
Sunny day
sludge bomb
Solar beam
Synthesis
FOR EXEGGUTOR
Psychic
Sunny day
Solar beam
synthesis/ Softboiled
FOR BLASTOISE
Rain dance/ Hail
And if u dont wanna put in tyranitar then keep ROCK SLIDE as a last move for RHYDON
Teach Mewtwo RECOVER and replace icebeam with Shadowball
For Blissey Siesmic toss is great
IF u put in tyranitar it can also learn ariel ace

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Groudon @Leftovers
Hardy Nature
-Aerial Ace
-Earthquake
-Sword's Dance
-Brick Break

Venusaur @Leftovers
Modest Nature
-Synthesis
-Sleep Powder
-Leech Seed
-Magical Leaf

Tyranitar @Leftovers
Adamant Nature
-Brick Break
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Dragon Dance

Suicune @Leftovers
Modest Nature
-Surf
-Rest
-Toxic
-Calm Mind

I know, only four Pokemon, but I haven't decided my last two yet. Anyway, I haven't put up IV or EV info as I can't change IVs anyway, and I don't have Emerald to fiddle about with EVs.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think you know about IVs, EVs or Base Stats if you're recommending I teach Groudon a Fire move. I don't have a mixed sweeper

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

@Sweep,

I'm assuming you already have these Pokemon. Therefore, I'm only going to suggest changes to your moves, since I'm not sure if you're up for completely revamping your team. Improvements are in red. Any comments are in blue.

One quick tip here. You've used items like Magnet, Mystic Water etc on your team. These items are practically useless; they only add 10% power to your Pokemon's moves, and you'd greatly benefit from relying more on Leftovers than one of those items.
I'm sure you're wondering "How can I get more than one Leftovers?" - You're going to have to restart quite a few games and play through until you get Leftovers. Right now, I have 7 in my Ruby account from restarting my LeafGreen and Sapphire so many times.

quote Sweep

Blastoise lvl/80@Leftovers
.Surf
.Ice Beam
.Counter
.Mirror Coat

Return isn't a great move to use with Blastoise. It has naturally high defences, and Counter/Mirror coat are both excellent moves to capitalise on that. I've personally KO'ed many trainer teams with that set-up alone. You might have problems at first predicting what moves the opponent will use, but learning the most frequently used moves will sort that out.

Alakazam lvl/81@leftovers
.Psychic
.Shadow ball
.calm mind
.Ice/Fire/Thunder Punch

Here's a little something you should be aware of. Alakazam has really bad defences compared to it's speed and Sp.Atk; it's one of those hit-and-run Pokemon like Sceptile for this reason. If you know about EVs, IVs, Base Stats and Natures, then you'll appreciate that Calm Mind has limited use when other Pokemon can KO it anyway in one hit. If you were to start again, I suggest:

Alakazam@Leftovers
Modest Nature (-Atk,+Sp.Atk) - EVs: 4 HP/252 Sp.Atk/252 Spd
-OR-
Timid Nature (-Atk,+Spd) - EVs: 4 HP/252 Sp.Atk/252 Spd
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Ice/Fire/Thunder Punch
-Ice/Fire/Thunder Punch

I hope you see how it's done. Alakazam already has really high Sp.Atk when a battle starts off, and it's high speed lets it get in there first. After a turn, switch out with something more robust.

Porygon 2 lvl/76@leftovers
.thunderbolt
.Psychic
.recover
.substitute

...Man, look here:

http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/137.shtml

Check out the Base Stats at the bottom. Porygon isn't a very good Pokemon to be honest. I see there that you've tried to use it as a Special Sweeper; I suggest you replace it with a Sceptile from RSE.

Oh, if you want to keep that Porygon, at least change Ice Beam to Psychic. Most of the Pokemon that can OHKO Porygon are Fighting types.

Raikou lvl/81@Leftovers
.Thunderbolt
.Calm mind
.Crunch
.hidden power grass

Raikou and Suicune are both excellent legendaries. That moveset is good, apart from Reflect; swap that in with Crunch and Raikou has a better chance of taking on Psychic-types.

Tyranitar lvl/78@Leftovers
.Brick Break/Sword's Dance/Dragon Dance
.Earthquake
.Aerial Ace
.Rock Slide

Tyranitar's HP isn't really big enough to monopolise on Seismic Toss. If you want to use another Fighting move, go for Brick Break. If you want to power up your Tyranitar, use Sword's Dance or Dragon Dance. However, you can only get Dragon Dance by breeding a male Gyarados with a female Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar.

Dragonite lvl/77@Leftovers
.Dragon Dance
.HP [Anything Physical]/Aerial Ace
.Brick Break
.Earthquake

Never teach your battling Pokemon Fly. The reason is simple; it gives your opponent a chance to switch with another Pokemon that is greatly resistant to it, like Aggron.

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Hi Arcanine

Comments are in blue and suggestions in red, by the way.

Overall, I think your team is not too bad, but it won't help you against the stronger trainers. I give it a 5/10, but if you follow the improvements I suggested, it would be 7/10.

quote Arcanine 194
Feraligatr@ Leftovers TIMID @ lv 82 male
Attk 168 Def 178 Sp att 147 sp def 164 speed 173 HP 256

Ice beam
Slash
Dragon claw
Hydro pump

Only one move there makes use of Feraligatr's Attack. Also, I suggest an Adamant nature instead of Timid. Here's one I suggest:

Feraligatr@Leftovers
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Rock Slide/Ancientpower
-Sword's Dance

Tyranitar @ Leftovers BRAVE @lv 81 male
Attk 301 def 208 Sp attk 193 sp def 198 speed 118 HP 278

Crunch
Hyper beam
Rock slide
Earthquake

A Brave Nature isn't exactly the best thing... Adamant will work well here too. Still, the moveset isn't that bad. Here's an improved one:

Tyranitar@Leftovers
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
-Earthquake
-Rock Slide
-Dragon Dance
-Aerial Ace/Brick Break

Jolteon @ Lum berry HARDY @lv 76 male
Attk 115 Def 107 sp attk 185 sp def 163 speed 225 HP 206

Thunderbolt
Rest
Iron tail
Thunder

Hardy Nature isn't good, at all. Try for Modest:

Jolteon@Leftovers
Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball/Toxic
-Protect
-Baton Pass

Salamence @leftovers HASTY @lv 79 Male
Attck 233 def 139 sp attk 203 dp def 140 speed 205 HP 247

Crunch
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Double edge

Crunch? Flamethrower? Dragon Claw? Look at it's stats; Attack is highest, so make use of it:

Salamence@Leftovers
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp.Atk)
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Aerial Ace/Steel Wing

Alakazam @ Leftovers RASH @ lv 81 Male
attk 101 def 82 sp attk 270 sp def 131 speed 222 HP 197

Recover
Calm mind
Psychic
Shadow ball

The moveset isn't bad. Try this out:

Alakazam@Leftovers
Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Thunder/Fire/Ice Punch

Venusaur @ leftovers RELAXED @lv 82 male
attk 156 def 165 sp attck 192 sp def 172 speed 132 HP 230

Sludge bomb
Synthesis
Sunny day
Solar beam

Venusaur is good as a sponger, i.e. a Pokemon that absorbs strong hits but has the HP recovery to survive:

Venusaur@Leftovers
Modest Nature (+Sp.Atk, -Atk)
-Leech Seed
-Magical Leaf/Razor Leaf
-Synthesis
-Sleep Powder/Poisonpowder

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Alakazam can be taught the three elemental punches through an emerald tutor, Eevee learns baton pass so you'll need to get a whole new Jolteon, and Feraligatr can be taught rock slide through breeding.

No problem. Sweep's given you just the advice you needed on where to get 'em.

My suggestion is for you to reform your entire team from scratch. Work on Feraligatr first, then each of the others. I highly recommend you follow the Natures I suggested. When you've got all the Pokemon with the right Moves and Natures, post your baby team here and I (and anyone else?) will give you EV spreads to use.

Ok I will do it coz I also think that my team needs redesigning I will do it

OK I caught all the baby pokemon at ur suggested natures now what is that EV spread

If venasaur is a good sponger than how about teach it Giga drain instead of razor leaf

Any other suggestion instead of the elemental punches for alakazam coz my emerald is corrupt
