quote Orange and BlackNice, it can work very well. EVs could be better, a little in its Defences or HP maybe. I use: Blaziken @ White Herb - Overheat - Rock Slide - Sky Uppercut - Bulk Up quote Orange and BlackIron Tail could be replaced, and Double Edge can work over Return if you want more power. A good set though, although once again maybe some more EVs in its Defences quote Orange and BlackThis is pretty much standard, although you might want some EVs in Special Defence for fast Electrics. quote Orange and BlackWhy does it have Liechi Berry attached? Also, a healing move is essential without EVs in its Defences. I'd say put Recover over Thunderpunch quote Orange and BlackPretty much standard, although maybe less EVs in SpD and more in Atk. Also an Adamant Nature could help as well. quote Orange and BlackI have never seen or used one of these before, so I can see it could work well. This is obviously your defender, and I like the idea of Haze. However, Haze and a stat-upping move (Curse) don't usually work well together, so maybe something else? I don't know, I've never done Quagsire. -------------------

Doesn't Haze just get rid of all stat changes? If that's the case, toss Curse for a status infliction move.

That's what I said. Haze/Curse can work together if you are planning on sweeping and only Hazing in emergencies. The Quagsire moveset doesn't really seem to be designed like that, so you are right there. -------------------

I came up with this last night. It is for double battles. I think it's pretty good, but I'm not so sure that everyone else will like it that much. ------------------- ![]()

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0 |
quote HeineRedI take it they are to be used together? I can see why you'd Skill Swap Levitate to Jolteon to make it immune to its only weakness, but apart from that there are other things that could be better. If you want to use a Rain Dancing/Thunder strategy in Double Battle it is often good to use an Electric and Water Pokemon together. Get the Water Pokemon to use Rain Dance and then you can use Thunder in the same turn. My favourite strategy here is to use a Manectric for the Electric type, as it can have Lightning Rod for an ability and stop the opponent hitting my Water type with an Electric attack. Although, I also use my regular Ludicolo and throw in a Magneton as the Electic type to use. As for the movesets, I would advise replacing Toxic on Jolteon with HP Water if you want to attack with it. I use my Jolteon as a BPer and use this set: Jolteon @ Leftovers - Substitute - Agility - Baton Pass - Thunderbolt It passes Substitute and Agility to my Pokemon, which often helps me to win with a nice sweeper. As for Gengar, there are much better sets for it. I can see what you are trying to do, and it has some good ideas in it, but switching abilities with Jolteon could be its downfall when it gets hit with an Earthquake etc... EDIT: My post count says 2222!!! -------------------

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0 |
quote HeineRedThey are probably better, and they could work quite well. I like those, they are quite good and I can see them doing well together. The problem is a fast Earthquake could get them both (like on a Choice-Banded Aerodactyl), but that stuff happens every now and then. They are better then the first lot. Question: Do you just make up random movesets for Pokemon and post them here? I do that a bit too. -------------------

quote AjnidehsNo. These are actually the first movesets that I've posted but haven't raised. And these movesets aren't random. Chances are, if I made a completely random moveset, it would fail miserably. ------------------- ![]()

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0 |
quote AjnidehsNo, I make up movesets for the pokemon I own. Except in that case. I was just trying to find 2 pokemon that can benefit each other in a double battle. They can heal each other because of the Volt/Water Absorb abilities. ------------------- ![]()
