re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Well uhhhh.... I'm not too good with Pokemon movesets; all my Pokemon are well.... physical sweepers.

Haha; so anyways, my Poliwrath's nature is Calm; while my Venusaur's nature is quirky... what does that do for them?

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Your Poliwrath since it is Calm its special defense is raised while its attack is lowered.

Your Venusaur as it is Quirky all of its abilities are equal.

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Oh thanks! I just found this really cool chart somewhere.

I found out that
Bashful, Docile, Hardy and Quirky are all natures that make your Pokemon's abilities equal. Pretty cool!

What nature would you recommend for a Slowbro/Slowking?

It depends on what you want to use him for, a physical sweeper or something else.

Slowbro is used best as either a Physical or a Special Sweeper, but it can work as both.

For Physical, use an Adamant Nature.
For Special, use a Modest Nature.

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

You mean this one? I'll try:

quote RKOed
Well I need a little help with my team so here it is:

Aerodactyl
Aerial Ace
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Filler
OK, try this set (it is wha I use and it ROCKS!!!)

Aerodactyl @ Choice Band
Rock Head Trait (this is important)
Adamant/Jolly Nature (prb Jolly)
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- HP Flying (but you can use Aerial Ace)
- Double Edge

Choice Band is great here, and can do a LOAD of damage. Rock Head means that you don't get any recoil damage from Double Edge, meaning 180 power attack over and over again without any recoil.
quote RKOed
Charizard
I don't know what moves I should get, he is a special sweeper, so any recommendations.
I prefer it as a Physical Sweeper, but it can work both ways. Here is a Special Sweeper:

Charizard @ Leftovers
Blaze Trait
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Claw
- HP Grass (it may take a while to get this)
- Substitute/Dragon Dance

Flamethrower for STAB and consistency, Dragon Claw because even though it has Outrage it doesn't get Safeguard, HP Grass to cover weaknesses (like Water and Rock) and Substitute for protection or Dragon Dance purely for the Speed boost.
quote RKOed
Heracross
Endure
Reversal
Megahorn
Filler
I prefer to use the SubPunching Heracross, but Endure/Reversal works well too. For the filler, you might want either Earthquake or Rock Slide.
quote RKOed
Vaporeon
Surf
Ice Beam
Acid Armor
Rest
Well, Vaporeon works best as a Baton Passer or Hazer above anything else. I like the use the phazer set though, and throw someone into the team that has Spikes. That set has:

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Roar
- Wish

You attack with Surf and Ice Beam, heal with Wish and when Spikes are around, use Roar to hurt your opponent badly.
quote RKOed
Yeah so I need two more pokemon, any moves that can be changed, and I need to know which items are to be held by which pokemon.
OK, you have a Rock/Flying, a Fire/Flying, a Bug/Fighting and a Water Pokemon. I'd say you should probably throw in a couple of Pokemon of comepletely different types to fill it up. For the Phazing Vaporeon, you need someone with Spikes, and the best two Pokemon for this (IMO) are Skarmory or Forretress. You should also include an Electric Pokemon (Magneton is best here, IMO), a grass Pokemon (depending on what you want it to do, there are a few good ones) or a Psychic Pokemon (probably Alakazam). Hope that helped .

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

What'd you think of my team?

quote
Jolteon @ Cheri Berry, Mild nature, Volt Absorb ability
*Thunderbolt
*Thunder
*Rain Dance
*Thunder Wave
I need assurance against Dugtrio. I really wish it could learn Reflect! Forget HP Ice for a moment.

Tentacruel @ Leftovers, Docile nature, Clear Body ability
*Surf
*Ice beam
*Toxic
*Barrier
Somewhat of a tank. Toxic seems out of place. Should I use Mirror Coat instead?

Magmar @ nothing, Rash nature, Flame Body ability
*Flamethrower
*Fire Blast
*Sunny Day
*Psychic
I use Psychic for more type coverage. Fire Blast and Flamethrower together seem lame. Suggestions?

Bellossom @ Leftovers, Bashful nature, Chlorophyll ability
*Magical Leaf
*Solarbeam
*Sunny Day
*Synthesis
What? I like grass types. This one can actually survive a few Ice beams and gets Sunny Day boosted speed.

Marowak @ Thick Club, Serious, Rock Head ability
*Earthquake
*Rock Slide
*Swords Dance
*Double Edge
I don't think this one can get any better. Can anyone prove me wrong?

Dragonite @ nothing, Quirky nature, Inner Focus abililty
*Wing Attack
*Brick Break
*Dragon Dance
*Safeguard
Safeguard protects from burn and other nasties. Dragon Dance to perfect sweep, Wing Attack for STAB, and Brick Break is for ice types and others.

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

Thanks Ajnidehs, so would Magneton be better than Jolteon, can I get a good moveset for whichever you think is better?

Also I am not able to get Skarmory or Forretress as I don't know anyone who has Colloseum or Fire Red, so any other Recommendations.

I thought about getting an Exeggutor as it is Grass and Psychic, is this a good idea and if so do you know a good moveset?

re: General Rate My Team Thread Version 2.0

OK, for Magneton I use:

Magneton @ Leftovers
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Reflect
- HP Ice

My one has HP Ice, but HP Water and Grass can work as well. This is mainly used to counter Flying Pokemon (esp Skarm) and HP Ice surprises Ground types.

For Jolteon I use:

Jolteon @ Leftovers
- Substitute
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Baton Pass

I Baton Pass Agility and Substitute to my Bellyzard who then Drums and sweeps. It can attack though, with a set like this:

Jolteon @ Leftovers
- Rain Dance
- Thunder
- Thunder Wave
- HP Water

HP Water gets boosted by Rain Dance, as does the accuracy of Thunder.

Cloyster learns Spikes, so you could use it in a set like:

Cloyster @ Leftovers
- Spikes
- Explosion
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam

It not only sets up Spikes but clears them on your side of the field. Ice Beam to do damage (although you can have Surf here if you want) and Explosion at the end.

Exeggutor is best used as a Sunbeamer, and does this very well (one of the best Sunbeamers in the game IMO). I use this set for it:

Exeggutor @ Leftovers
- Sunny Day
- Solarbeam
- Leech Seed
- Psychic/HP Fire

If you want to, get HP Fire on it to do extra damage during the sunshine. If not, go for Psychic. Sunny Day raises its Speed and means Solarbeam hits every turn. Leech Seed for HP recovery and to annoy your opponent.
