the only way to get a bad egg is through a cheating device and I believe there's an in game cheat it doesn't happen all the time but it can the bad egg will hatch to 'm' or missingno (the 0th pokemon, forgotten pokemon alot of names glitch in the original games but w/e) and sometimes it may eat up your pokemon people are fighting over whether it depends on the cheat or if it's all random, but if you don't want to risk your file dont' use a cheating device (and please don't be stupid enough to use the built in one)

i found a Firered on the ground at my school last year and just came back to it. when i went to the day-care lady on four island to start making eggs to finish off some of the first generations that werent on there, there was a lvl 77 bad egg being watched by them. i figured it was from putting an egg in the day care

actually, they do. i've had this experience, but i found it only happens if the bad egg is in your party. it doesn't do anything while it's in the computer.

all of you people are arguing over how big a loser you are or not? cheating is a losers tool. anyone who chooses to cheat on a game has very little respect for the game makers as well as deserve no respect from true gamers. you either enjoy the game as it was meant to be played or you enjoy being a cheat. as for me I don't like playing with a cheat. and I know a lot of gamers who feel the same way.
