Since he said in the game, it's pretty obvious that it's small Mario. Who else can run through those one block gaps.

The greatest power I think is Fire Mario because with the fireballs I can kill enemies easily.

Im sorry to say but your wrong in super mario bros you can jump and duck inside the gaps or do the glitch and you can get through.

Ah yes, but then you're not running, you're ducking. I believe that you can also get a good run going and hit down to slide under one block gaps too.

MEGA mushroom cause when you get it you can wreck everything in your path
