One of the Most Influential Zelda Games? |
|
I would say this game impact the series almost as much as the orginal and OoT. It just did everything so well, and added a lot of new fetures that are still used today. Hopefully, the first wii zelda will be as influential. TP doesn't count, as it was a gamecube port.

I honestly don't get why the original had such an impact on the world. I don't find that game fun at all. Ocarina of time is really good but I don't find it as addictive as link to the past. And twilight princess looked amazing when my old roommate was playing it. I've been playing link to the past since 1992 and I still play it today on my gba. I havn't found a zelda that tops it

When did you first play the original and OoT. If you didn't play them when they came out, or in that era, you won't understand as you are used to things like Halo or Gears of War. In those times, it was like magic that you could have graphics as good as zelda did. Just like in the future when games get even better, people will wonder why we thought Halo was so great.

Woah, major bump
Actually, twilight princess isn't really an actual wii game since it's a port, it wouldn't even be on the wii if it wasn't delayed. I think this game was pretty influental to the series, like the items used, the parallel worlds, just like in oot and tp, you had to go back and forth between different times, places, and dimensions. ------------------- | |

HOLY CRAP!!! I just realized how similar Oblivion and Link to the past really are!
Like in Oblivion you have to travel to, well, Oblivion which is very similar to the dark world in LTTP. ------------------- They gave him command of a nuclear submarine, then

I liked some of the nods towards Link to the Past in Twilight Princess (such as the music that's playing when the Castle is overran by Zant).
