My favorite out of the three is Super Mario Brothers 3 because I love how they added all the suits in and the levels rock.

The suits were a nice addition, the worlds were huge, graphics were quality, The two player battle thing was really cool as was the item collection panel and the bonuses. There were also the lottery cards that gave you extra lives, and of course, the return of Bowser. The last fight was probably the most fun out of all three games. Aw, all of them were pretty good. One was good because it was the first... though I remember getting angrier with each castle("Sorry, the princess is in another castle, but hey, thanks for saving us anyway!"). Two was interesting (and I don't care if it was a real Mario game or not, it was trippy and fun. Though the ending SUCKED). Three's my favourite though. More secrets in this one than in the first, and the transformations of the kings in each level was hilarious. Did anyone else notice the weird things he says to you if you're wearing a special suit (eg Tanooki, Sledgehammer, or Frog Mario) ? Or was that just me... ------------------- | |

They are all excellent games!
Super Mario Bros. has the whole nostalgia factor and is still a fun game to play. Although it's game play is simple, Super Mario can still fill you with hours (or several minuets, depending on how good you are.) of fun. It also has the ability to send you into a controller-throwing rage.  Super Mario Bros. 2 while not a true Mario title was still a great, addictive game. I can see why Nintendo choose to release it here instead of the Japanese version of Super Mario 2. Super Mario Bros. 3 is the most advanced title in the series, adding many new elements, but it continues to maintain the classic Mario game play. So I guess I don't really have a favorite out of the three, they are all fun games. But if I had to choose, I think I would go with the original Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros. 3 was my favorite of the three originals. Super Mario Bros. 2 was horrible and the worst of the three in my opinion. I also hate Super Mario Bros.

I don't really have anything against the second installment. However, it is different enough to not feel like a Mario game. The first one was fun, but it had a really annoying flaw. The levels were often repeated, just with more enemies or obstacles. Super Mario Bros. 3, on the other hand, is almost perfect.
All three are definitely worth playing. -------------------
