re: Real life silent hill moments |

i posted a message in a thread for SH3 called 'what's the weirdest/scariest thing thats ever happened to you?' that i think qualifies as a silent hill moment. more recently,i went down to the mall in my town, and saw not only a woman that bore a striking resemblence to Claudia, but also one guy who looked a lot like Vincent and another i could've easily mistaken for Douglas. and they looked like they were up to something. something....weird. as if that weren't bad enough, there was no 'heather'. or maybe that's good. if i'd seen a heather there, then the whole gang would've been present and accounted for, so i'da screamed like a little girl and ran home, hopefully with fake-heather's number. after that, though, i always carry a weapon with me, just in case things get all silent hill up in here.

I was in a bar one night around the outskirts of the town center. It was very quiet and allmost empty. It was like that most nights. Most people would rather go to big clubs or bigger bars closer to the town center where ther's alot more to see and do. I did'nt mind though, the silence was relaxing and the beer was cheap. The time was 8:30 and some freinds of mine were going to meet me at a coner shop up the street at 9:00 so we could all go to town center and have more drinks. I finished my beer and desided to go and look for another bar for one more drink before I meet up with the guys. I got up and left. I had'nt got very far when I realised I realy needed to go pee. At this point it would have taken me at least two minuts to walk to another bar and use the toilet so I started looking around for somewere else to go. I walked across the road, over to a row of closed shops. It did'nt take me long to find an allyway, so I looked down to see what was there. It was quite dark but there was nothing realy, just some rubbish bags, bins and a small light at the end. It did'nt seem too bad so I started walking down. On the way I could hear water drops taping on the floor and onto bin bags which made me feel a bit unesey so I walked a little faster. I finaly got to the end and that light I had seen before was actually a reflection off the damp allyway wall that was coming from a bathroom window a few floors up. This made me feel worse and I was starting to regret coming down hear in the first plase. I looked back to the main street and I could still see cars and some people walking past, but the street seemed alot further away than it should. This allyway was alot longer than I thort and I did'nt like it one bit.
I turned back around and unziped. I realy needed to pee and wanted to get out of this grim place as soon as I could. The air was frezeing and I just could'nt go, so I thort to hell with this and ziped up. As I turned to go back I sore somthig that I realy did'nt think I would see.A huge mirror that was tied to the wall. The rope was comeing from holes and was tied so tite around the top and bottom that it hade cracked and bent, distorting the image sent back. How the hell could I have missed this. My arms pressed agenst my chest from the shock, I looked into it. My face was all blerred and my body looked tangled and deformed. At this point I realised what I looked like. I looked like one of those freaks from Silent Hill 2. The ones that run around in straight jackets and throw up on you. I turnd to the street and ran. To this day I'v never been back there. Id never stop playing Silent Hill though, it kinda makes you feel more exited than afraid.

While Playing Final Fantasy X-2 A While Back I Got To That Part In Bevelle (If You've Played The Game You'll Know What I'm Talkin Bout) Anyways At That Part Where You Have To Lower The Lift And A Block Comes Loose From The Wall, As The Block Fell A Noise That Sounded Exactly Like The Street Sound Effects Of Silent Hill 2. It Was Freaky Coz The Noise Was The Absolute Double. As Soon As You Hear This Noise You Would Immediatly Think SH2.

real people can be scarier than anything silent hill has to offer, if only because they are real. people can not only attack you physically, they can destroy you mentally, too. people are sometimes trusted, whereas if you saw pyramid head walkin' down the street, i don't know about you, but i'd be cautious around him.

Alright,time for my story now
This happend,2 years ago i think... Anyway,i was at school and i had detention, and everyone was already gone (the students there) and i had to go to the toilets,so i came there (and it was empty and dark, the lights were of ofcourse, there were no students anyway)so when i came there i saw a locked toilet door so i tought that there was someone in there, but when i checked (i climb up the other toilet in the next toilet to see the other toilet, hehehe) but i saw nothing,so it mustve been someone who locked it and fled from underneath the door, but when i was about to leave,i heard a freaky noise, like squaky stair cases or something, and it came from that toilet room,it was freaky so i kinda walked very fast outta there, but when i came back in the class room i thought "it mustve been the heather or something" lol

re: Real life silent hill moments |
quote crono_04This is very true, couldn't say it better myself. Ok, on-topic. I was at work a Sunday at a temp part-time job. Anyway I was in one of the bathroom stalls when I saw a long shadow moving from right to left along the floor. All the stalls were open when I came in and I was the only girl working in the office that day and the bathroom door squeaks whenever it opens. I said hello, thinking it might have been one of the cleaning crew that work during the weekend, cleaning or stocking the stalls or something. No one answered and I got out. I looked in all the stalls and saw no one there. I opened the only door, which squeaked pretty loudly and called hello again then I ran out. I was really happy I only worked there temporarily.

re: Real life silent hill moments |

Well, last week I had a Silent Hill week.
At about midnight on Saturday we heard some weird scratching and screeching coming from the clothes dryer. My husband got his flashlight and tried to look in and around the dryer...but couldn't find anything. The hairs on my arm were standing straight up. It truly sounded otherworldly. "Weird," he said, and shook his head, "maybe it's raining outside...?" He opened the door, and there was a teenager with his hands shoved up inside the outdoor dryer vent. "Oh...oh man, I'm so sorry!" He jumped. "My...my ferret got loose and he ran up your dryer pipe. I've been trying for like 15 minutes to get him to come out!" Sure enough, soon a little tail drooped out, followed by four furry legs. My husband and I died laughing, but the poor kid was horribly embarrassed. ------------------- ![]() ~*~Banner made by SerialZero~*~

re: Real life silent hill moments |

this happened very recently, like between this and my last post! it was a cold foggy evening i was sitting in my dark, kinda prison-in-SH4-like basement playing, you guessed it (or you didn't),SH4. i quit playing and noticed it was all kinda foggy outside. i figured i'd go check it out, for some reason. i stepped on my porch, and looked around. dead silence. nothing moved. i went back in,and before i could walk away, someone knocked on my door. strange...,i thought. i looked through my peephole, and there was a man looking in. he seemed distant. there was something unnerving about him,so i watched him untill he left. i sat by the door for a half-hour with the most weapon-like thing i could find (a broomstick, then eventually went to bed. the next day, there were cop cars across the way. someone living in one of the apartments had gone missing, according to a cop i asked. as soon as he said it, i remembered the guy at the door.i shivered and went home. was it the man at the door who had been responsible for what happened? i don't know, but something told me that not opening the door had saved my life.
