me too, and thanks for your concern. seriously, though, there's no feeling quite like a sudden burst of 'don't open that door!'

This might not be considered a Silent Hill moment, but the guy next door keeps playing this instrumental music akin to Silent Hill, it's pretty funny sometimes.

if you have bad short term memory, here's a neat trick. tell your neighbor to play that same music and make a lot of weird sounds at night, but tell him to do it in 3 months, so you'll forget asking him to do it.

About 2-3 years ago my two best buddies and I (we were about 15 at the time) decided to go out to the most deserted street in our town to watch the meteor shower. I live in a small mountain hick town about 8 miles away from st helena (which is a tourist town in the napa valley that my friends and i want to write a story about it turnin all silent hill ish cuz its sooo one of those towns). anyways we walked about two miles to this desolate road with only one flashlight and sat to watch the meteor shower. We lay on our backs in the middle of this road because it was like 4 in the morning, no one would be driving. We watched the shower and just stared up at the sky and all of a sudden there was a car about five feet away from us driving about 40 mph and all three of us didnt hear it, see it or feel it coming until it was like 5 ft away....and it was an old car so it was hella loud and it had its brights on. We rolled out of the way to avoid being run over and it seemed as if they didnt see us until we saw them either so they didnt have enough time to swerve, luckily my friends and i have super ninja like reflexes so it was all good. After about a half hour of meteor watching we stood back up. It was dead silent in the night and we were only surrounded by vineyards. All of a sudden we heard this loud banging sound out in one of the wineries about 40 feet away. a very LOUD banging sound with screeches and clanging and all that happy stuff. I said it was probably one of the squeaky fans or like a door of a shack opening and closing cuz of the wind. Then my friend Eric made a startling remark. Yeah....there was no wind. My friend mindy said it sounded like two people banging in a car but there was no way for a car to be out there. It started getting louder and we heard a slight squishy sound. My friend eric was silent and he finally said in a monotone voice: "There's something stuck in a cellar trying to get out but someone is holding them in from the outside" im like "shut the *bleep* up eric" and he just stared. i didnt know what was up with him and he just started running home and he was the only one with the flash light. My friend mindy and i had to run after him and when we got home he coudlnt really remmber what he was doing or why he started running or even what he said.

I dunno if this could be considered a silent hill moment but..well just hear me out anyways
I finished sh4 a coupla months ago i think and I was sitting bored in maths when I noticed this guy in my class looks like a 14 year old Henry. I'm not just saying it, but he really does! He's got the messy brown hair that covers a bit of his face, the green eyes and even the hunched over stocky kind of look. He's even kinda shadowy and quiet and doesn't say much at all, just like Henry. It was really uncanny but I never noticed it before. I'm not just saying it but he really was like a real life younger version of Henry.

that's kinda strange. but when you get a classmate who looks and acts like pyramid head is when you should really worry.

Here's on that's happening right now. I'm alone and I turned off my phone and locked the door and I'm not answering it. Some has been ringing the bell and knocking for over half an hour now. I suspect it's eugene, a delusional guy who used to stalk my mom...
edit: okay good he stopped... This message was edited by mistress of evil on Dec 26 2004. ------------------- I hate you.

Only when it's quiet, such as early morning or late night. When I walk around my backyard, and fog has engulfed the lake so fully that I can't see the closest shore, it's like deja-vu (if there's no townspeople making a racket).
Also, I was in town around 12:30 in the morning, and I couldn't hear any people nearby. No cars, no people, just silence. It was like when Heather ran back to her apartment, as generic as that scene is. I could have sworn I saw a Health Drink along the edge of the apartment I was outside of.

I'm sitting here, in my flannel shirt, and typing; through the window above my sleeping wife I see evidence of the rain that seems to bellow with rage: dots paint spattered faces which embellish the outside lights, grimacing in the spaces left by our snaggle-toothed blinds. The wall stands, battered-but-proud, beyond the window, visible through the security bars (in case of emergency pull the lever and they'll drop - if not, you may burn to death). Beyond the wall, asphalt - asphalt and brick, tinted various shades of ash through years of fireworks, flames, exhaust, and stray bullets; the ground heaves and sighs in the heat, waving the illusion of water above it. In the cold, though, there is no illusion of heat; rather, of sky: the staccatto pock-marks of rain relent slowly to mirror what would be stars in their wake. In this lot, a beggar sings; his voice is a rich burgoo gone rotten in a summer sweathouse. The alarm-like repetition of squeaking shopping carts adorns the soundscape with a familiar touch - which cry is more human: the bums' or the wheels'? Gunshot, clatter, spatter, dispersal - the young street-wise footfalls and hot-rod arias speak to me like the stifled grunts of history. That old man - he is a mannequin; he's a ranting effigy of those promises we made and which were made to us. Broken. The rainfall touches on a lighter tempo, and leaves the lot almost silent. Peopled only by figures, fog, and cat feet. In the end, it's either a farce or a tragedy; there's no easy way out. So I stay in the room... is that my t.v.? I thought I had a record player there...

I do a paper round and right at the top of this hill is a real nice area, well to get down to the cul de sac below it, you have to either take a road which will take ages or this little enclosed path of steps. I always take the steps, but due to the time I do the round (4:00-5:00) it gets dark, when i have to go back up from the cul de sac, its always dark this time of year, and it always feels like sopmones following me and it really isn't nice. Can you imagine pyramidf head following you up a tiny path of dark steps, with walls either side?
The second this may not count cause its a dream i recently had. But i dreamt that i was sitting on my landing which is a kind of reverse L shape and then suddenly i heard dragging, scraping even, then i saw a triagngular shadow. Suddenly I woke up gasping. I think i have a complex with pyramid head.

note to self: find neighborhood Fanatic17D was talking about, make PyramidHead costume, make fake giant knife, rent one of those fog-machines they use in Motley Crue concerts, and wait in an alley.
