I'm gonna have to go with number 2 also. The levels I think were better and more challenging. And so were the bosses. In #1 I think the bosses were all too easy and I didn't take me very long to beat. The 3rd one just didn't impress me very much.

The Bosses in the first one were not that hard, though some of the stages were a bit challenging, not as much as part 2 and 3 though.

As long as you get to play it.

It's good to own a copy for yourself though, so you can play it when you want.

They are like collectables.

You can't buy them, or in the rarest of occasions you find the odd Snes game somewhere.

2 is easily the best. This one took me forever to get all 102%, number 1 i can get 101% in 56 minutes ... it's too short but it's very fun. 3 has insanely good looks all the backgrounds and stuff are highly detailed. the major deciding factor to me was the music though. DKC1 has some good songs such as oil drum alley or the water levels, DKC3 had some good songs but to me it fell off a bit, but DKC2 has some of the greatest music I've ever heard. stickerbrush symphony or brambles blast, enchanted woods, melancholy mine, hot head hop, boss theme, the bee levels all are extremely good... its hard to choose a favorite. so all in all its this order. DKC 2 DKC3 DKC1.

I have to agree, though Part 1 is always enjoable to play, even though it is simple and takes less then an hour to complete.

I may only own the first and third out of the series, but the second remains my favourite. It's too bad I can't own a copy of it, although there's a place where it can be rented.

The music in DKC2 is (in my opinion) much better then the other two games. I found the gameplay to be better and more challenging. The bosses in the third game were the toughest. (The spider took me a few tries at first)^^'

The water levels in the first game had some of the best effects I've ever seen in an SNES game. The galleon levels in the second game made up for the lack of underwater levels. (lockjaw's locker was great fun)
I found Kaptain K.Rool to be the best of the 'K.Rool' bosses.

I like the 2nd one the best. I found it the most challenging, and I really enjoyed the worlds.

I liked #2 the best and #3 second best. In #2 i thought it had the best levels and characters. #3 tho had good music and i like the way the worlds were set up better than in any of the other games and by this i mean that once you go into a world or whatever you can leave it again without taking a plane or beating the boss.

By the way does any one here know if there is a new donkey kong game comming out for game cube?

re: Donkey Kong Country vs Diddy's Kong Quest vs Dixie's Double Trouble

Here's a list of my favorite to least favorite Donkey Kong games that I have.

Donkey Kong Country (Favorite #1): Has a very earthly, natural feel to it. When you look at it you think of Donkey Kong. It's not too long, it's very fun, and it's very addicting. I got all 101% on my file.

Donkey Kong Country 3 (favorite #2): Has some earthly, natural feel to it. It's pretty fun and exciting to play, especially when you reveal secrets. The little vehicles that you get to ride are also pretty cool. I got all 104% (got an extra 1% by unlocking a secret) on my file.

Donkey Kong Country 2 (favorite #3): Has a very little earthly, natural feel to it. You can't even play as Donkey Kong. It's still a pretty fun game though. I got all 102% on my file.

Donkey Kong 64 (favorite #4): It has barely any earthly, natural feel to it. Though some parts of the game are pretty fun, it can get really boring really fast. The 3-D graphics are pretty good though. I got all 101% on my file.

Donkey Kong (Atari 2600) (favorite #5): No earthly, natural feel. It's pretty fun and addicting. The graphics though are just plain sad, but hey, what do you expect? It came out in the early 1980's. It's very short, there's only two levels. I've beaten the entire game pretty fast.

Donkey Kong (Gameboy) (favorite #6): No earthly, natural feel to it. The graphics are alright. Some of the levels are very confusing. Beating the entire game was pretty fun but it sometimes got pretty boring. Some of the levels were pretty fun and challenging, especially fighting Donkey Kong for the last time.

Overall, I like all of my Donkey Kong games.
