Only the most harcore Donkey Kong players had achieved getting 101% which was finishing the game perfect.

I did it back when i had my SNES, it was hard and you couldnt use walkthroughs back then so only the best could have every last secret by themselves.

Some levels had secrets in the most oddest places, like that mine level where you had to fall off the screen at the right time to get the bonus barrel.

I forgot how you do it. You gotta like do this secret double bonus level in that oil drum alley huh?

Okay. For Oil Drum, There is a bonus you go to by throwing a TNT barrel right by a tire into the wall to the left. In the bonus area, you get all three single banana slots. After you do that, you only get your second bonus if you jump and then hold the right Control Stick until the wall breaks open. If this is performed correctly, you go to the second bonus, and hava a chance to gain six lives.

Oh, and I beat the game several times. 101% in 1 hour and 41 minutes.

1 hour 41 minutes ? 101 % ? Crap, that's crazy.My best time I ever did in 101 % was 2 hours 55 minutes !

Man you guys are awesome at this game, true hardcore donkey kong fans, i got close to that but never got it.

To tell you the truth, I always re-started my games, but I only go 101 % about 3 months ago, but I did got it in 2hours 55 minutes.

Its probably really hard but i wont bother trying it since its nothing really special to me, i really enjoyed the game though.

I'm not really sure if I have achieved 101% yet.

Though I have completed the game many many times.

Same here i have beat this game lots of times but i havent ever got 101% that is really hard and i could probably never get it.

I don't remember seeing any kind of percentage on the game, I did on Donkey Kong Country 3 though, If there was I never got 101%.

I never got 101%. I attempted to on numerous occasions but could only just complete the game still needing that extra 1%. I can't try again though because I sold my Super Nintendo. I still have the games though and may consider buying the SNES again. Must be pretty cheap now eh?


BTW, the fastest time I got completing the game must of been about 7 Hours 20 Minutes. You guys must of been muuuchhhh better than me.

I don't think I have gotten that far in any of the games.

I didn't even know you could get 101% in part 1.

i thought 101% is the highest? oh well i didnt really look into that, all that i was trying to do was beat the game.

I always thought 100% was the highest.

Like most games that have percentages in levels.
