Hello everyone, after looking around on the internet to find an answer to my question I came here. And hopefully any of you can help me.

Here goes:

As you know, you'll get various weapons when playing Secret Of Mana, I'm now at the part where Watts gave me the Axe (So I have myself, the girl and the sprite).

My question is about the weapons and the weapon levels.
I really don't know if I should stick with one weapon for each char (So the sword for the main, the spear for the girl and the axe for the sprite) or should I keep switching to that what it's strongest (the axe is for the sprite stronger than the bow)

Reason I'm asking this is that I would like to stick around with 1 weapon type per char, so I can build up the weapon level of it (thus doing more damage) but I don't know if that's smart to do.

So could any of you guys tell me how to use which weapons for each char? I'd be much obliged.

I found it more effective if you seperate the weapons evenly amongst the 3 characters. When I was playing SOM I had a couple weapons that 2 characters can use just in case. In the end it all depends on what you prefer. Here is how I split my weapons up:

Guy: Axe, Sword, Dragon Dart. (He can also use Bow and Arrow)

Girl: Knuckes, Spear, Bow and Arrow. (Can also use the Axe)

Sprite: Whip, Boomarang. Knuckles.

All have been leveled up to maximum with their weapons. I'm not exactly sure if you pair the characters with their weapons if it makes a difference.
