Quick format vs. regular format?

	Whats the difference between a quick format and a regular format, besides how fast it formats? I just reformatted my 400gb backup drive and decided to try and do a regular format, but after waiting 2 minutes and it only goes to 1% I decided to cancel and do a quick format and it was done in about 30 seconds. So is there any difference as far as performance between the two? 	The only difference is that a regular format will check for bad sectors on the hard disk which takes forever. It's recommended to only do a regular format when you're formatting for the first time.
