Luxon and Kurzick are the two warring sides in factions.
Picking a side means you can so alliance battle and a few other PvP maps for them to gain faction points towards them which are used to purchase rare crafting materials and a few other things that aren't coming to mind right now. For the core game play it has no real side effect which side you choice. -------------------
