Well, here's an interesting problem.

The game installed just fine, but when I go to run it, I see the loading screen, and then a dialog box telling me "Please eject and re-insert the CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application".

About that fight with Millenia.. The problem is that fight never end until i die. How can I make Millenia cast Zap? Do you have any easy suggestions?

Just select the AI mode battle.

By the way, I'm playing Grandia 2 with a no cd crack in windows xp sp2,and g force fx 5200. I'm in the town of cyrum and so far the only crash I had was in the defend tutorial, when selecting the shield Icon in this tutorial, the game simple crashes... Anyone knows how to fix this ?? I'm playing in windows 98 compatibility mode and my system is on NTFS not FAT 32. Besides this crash, I had no other problems so far. Hope it lasts.

When we're fighting Millenia at the beginning of the game, we will need to

Solution 1:
- Equip weapon with lower ATK rate and don't equip any acessories that rai-
ses ATK. Stram is a spell to drops ATK, Millenia won't use it if Ryudo's
ATK rate is low.
- Never attack Millenia from the very beginning, always use Defense command
instead.

Look, just use AI Meanie Mode in the Battle against Millenia and she will cast zap.. For me that worked

Hey guys, maybe I'm too late and you've all fixed your problems, but I figured I would post here what I did to fix everything.

First off, if you've read through this discussion, you will see how to fix the Millena Zap Bug... So I won't be going into that...

So let's begin. Some issues I came across and what I did:

1. Some of the Magic and Special Moves movie scenes just seem to stop at one point and the music keeps going... The game did not crash. The movies are extended to look like that... Who knows why. If you get a movie editor, you will be able to trim these scenes down and make it look more presentable.
2. At times, a music file may be missing. Try to move the name of the music file directly from the disc to your computer in the correct location to keep things moving.
3. One of the most annoying things I found was when I first fight Melfice and afterwards, when Roan is about to go into his speach to Ryudo and the rest, it freezes saying something about WK01.vms or something. HERE IS THE SOULTION: Take all the files on the disc and move them to your computer desktop (make a folder to hold the contents). Then DELETE the LAST NINE .vms files in the VMS folder of the disc. THEY ARE CORUPT! To fix this, just take a .vms file (OTHER THAN THE CORUPT NINE), copy it, and rename it as WK01.vms, WK02.vms, etc. So now take a blank CD and burn the files on your desktop to it. The original G2 CD and the burned copy should look the same basically. Now start the game up using the ORIGINAL CD, and afterwards, throw the new burnt CD in. This will solve the problem of the game errors coming saying "WK01.vms" or whatever. YES, it is a bit messy, but hey, do you wanna play or not?

That should help a little, I think.

Damn. I have bought this game, played it with one of my previous configs but with my new one no luck(A64 3700+, 1GB, 7800GT, NTFS). Works fine on my work's PC though (Sempron3000+, 4800SE, 512MB, NTFS).

It just stays hanged everytime an avi is gonna run. Tried everything you guys say here, no luck.

Just wanted to say, Ubi that's the second time u fak me and I'm not gonna buy anymore of your stupid games, that u decide not to support. Windows XP Compatible my ash.

I looked into the icons thing... Couldn't find anyone else complaining about it or mentioning it... Even changed some things on my game. Sorry bro... No luck here.

Is it possible to run G2 from hard drive? How can I make that the game searches for data in its own directory (and not on the second disc)?
