Playing Yugioh on Internet ;) |
|
Ok, as you already know yugioh for xbox doesnt come with xbox live support (which sucks) however it does come with system link support (which also sucks since is easier to find or carry a deck than 2 xboxes and 2 tvs but ok lets live it like that) so that means you CANT play in the net right? not really.
check this out: http://www.xboxlink.co.uk/ http://www.xbconnect.com/ This are programs that can be used to "tunnel" your system link connection to the net, this basically means you can use a regular PC connected to the internet to link two xboxes (or more) the instructions are on each site. And the programs are free. What does that tech babble mean? it means YOU CAN PLAY YUGIOH ON THE NET! be aware though that you require a good connection (sometimes) and A hub or a extra net card in your system to connect your xbox. If you are not very computer savy ask a friend to help you out. You can not ask MS or the shop where you bought the xbox since these programs are not supported, they are not illegal but they are not supported by MS. I have the system setup for a while and it works pretty well, sometimes you can even use a 56k modem (PGR2) however some games like Halo are impossible to play without a good connection, this is a great choice for games that do not have live support, or countries which dont support live yet. Well all said I will see you in the net, I use xlink rc2 and Im beginning to use KAI(rc3) so you will see me hanging around (I use the same nick) lets get to duel! p.s. A word of warning though, my current deck sucks, so Im using the KONAMI cheat. (until I have a good deck of my own) I recommend you to do the same, since is very, very difficult to duel against a good deck in the game. however if you have a sucky deck (like mine) we can use those too. | |

Okay I don't play this stuff but I was interested from reading this title, do you think that this process could be done similiarly on the PS2? Don't think it would be all that hard, as long as there are programs that can support it.

They should both work if there is proper tunnel software and each user is using the same (ie, a particular friend you want to play).
