My Megaman X5 (PC) is running way too slow ? Help please!

Some days ago I installed Megaman X5 (PC version) (English).
Instead of enjoying this, I suffered the extremely slow game speed. For example, one slash of Z saber can last around two seconds = =

The brief system spec. is :

Windows Vista Home Basic, Intel Core2Duo T5600,
2GB RAM, Nvidia Go7200
