Sega was doing well untill they released the sega saturn.
Sony (curse that name) deliberatly released the PS1 at the same time as the SS came out. Sega (Yay!) promtly lost because of age, and Sony spent much more money on the PS1 so more ppl wanted to buy it.
Screw Sony. I'd rather go buy a nintendo than by anything of sony...

That's why i bought a GC. Now i regret it Well sorta...

I don't blame Sony for SEGAs bad luck, i blame Nintendo for beating the Game Gear with that non-colored crap called Game Boy!


Like i always say: All for one and all against Nintendo!!!!

In fact i'm glad Sony came in, but they should have beaten Nintendo instead of SEGA.


SEGA still makes games, that's the most important, and i will always enjoy the classics:


Streets of Rage > Final Fight

Kid Chameleon > Mario

Sonic > Mario


and so on and so on....


But the best thing is that Square made FF7 for Sony instead of Nintendo, hähähähä!!!! *feels filled with sadism*

But the Gameboy was the best handheld evar... Sega just didn't know how to market hardware, the only really successful system they had was the Genesis.

If the Game Gear had better battery life, more games, and a smaller form factor it would have done much better and probably would have been a good contender to the gameboy. But the fact of the matter was that with 1990's technology 6 AA batteries lasted about 4 hours, the Game Gear was huge, and there weren't many games being made for it. It did do better than the Atari Lynx though.
