When I collect the 7 emeralds with Tails, nothing happens to him like I can with Sonic, is there a way to get Super Tails?

In Sonic 2 there's no Super Tails. If you have Sonic 3 & Knuckles and collect all 14 (I believe) emeralds there, you'll be able to turn into Super Tails, who among other things has a few bird friends who stay with him and attack nearby enemies.

Correct. In Sonic 2, Tails has no super form.

In Sonic 3, he still doesn't have one.

In Sonic 3 And Knuckles, he gets to be super tails. Sonic and Knuckles are able to get HYPER forms with all 14 emeralds, but Tails only gets his super form with all 14. 7 does nothing for him.

Tails is really only any good in this game when you are playing as Sonic and Tails and you have a person at the second controller controlling Tails.

yes there is a super tails of sonic 2. here's how ya do it. 1. get super sonic (cheat or no cheat doesn't matter)

2. go in to debug mode

3. go super in a level

4. place the box sprite

5. hit it. ta da you now have super tails and a sonic that looks like super but isn't (just get hit and go super to regain super)

That's still not technically auper Tails at all. Just a glitch in the game.

wha- I'm not following you on that. there is a way to get supersonic, without having to collect all of those damned emeraldes, right?

Debug mode is accessed by a cheat code. Look up the cheats for the game to find it. It's something a bit weird involving playing certain music tracks in the options menu in a certain order.

Debug mode let's you place items, scenery, blocks, and enemies wherever you want through levels.

I just got that yesterday. and what does that telaport box do anyway? I kill it, the screen flashes white then nothing else happens.
