May 1, 2008 - The fan site known as Diablo3.com will be now known as DiabloFans.com as Blizzard now owns the rights to the domain. Considering the fact that Blizzard conceals all of its secrets in a lockbox guarded by demons, the company is denying that this is confirmation for the next Diablo game. Blizzard said it acquires domain names all of the time. The immensely popular action RPG debuted in January 1997 and was followed by Diablo II and two expansion packs, Diablo: Hellfire and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Although there have been many Diablo clones in recent years, it has been nearly eight years since the last Diablo game came out.

Diablo3.com will continue to run as a fan site until the group transitions over to DiabloFans.com in the coming months. Blizzard's last major game announcement came in the form of StarCraft II, announced at Blizzard's 2007 Worldwide Invitational, the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational is approaching and will happen in Paris, France, from June 28 to 29.

I really hope they keep the same mechanics.

And the violence. Gore is Diablo's beauty. Better graphics would be win.

As much as I would love to see a Diablo 3, my hopes are not high.

i think D3 is going to suk, thats my opinion until i see them add the character i like to play with or good new ones

The graphics are crap!! They fully 3d enised it. It compleatly ruins the game not having graphics like the first 4 games...

It's the natural progression considering the advancements in graphics that have been made since D2 and LoD. I mean, when you look at D2 and the original there is a difference in graphics because of the new technologies that they had available when making D2. The gap in time between D2 and D3 is quite large, and at present 3D is the accepted method of animation in games, therefore that's what Blizz has done with the graphics that you see in those videos.

If you mean the graphics are crap compared to other 3D games you have to keep in mind that Blizz has said that D3 won't even require DirectX10 in order to allow people with older machines to still enjoy the game, but it does mean that the graphics aren't going to be Crysis-like or anything close to that.
