i've already cracked it...but i still cant play it! the game is looking for a cd!

how do i cure this problem?

put the cd in or get a newer Cd patch

so whenever i play, i really need a cd???

chances are you got a bad no-cd patch(unless all you did this update thought Bnet?)

im playing it with no cd's ... BUT, my friend gave me this wierd program that gives me "fake cd drives" and stuff.. but I used my CD keys from my boxes..

It's not called fake drive, it's a virtual drive program which reads an image of the CD so the computer would believe it's reading an actual CD. It accomplishes the same thing as a no-cd patch but takes up a lot more harddrive space because you have to save everything that's on the game CD to your harddrive as an image file.

that's why I used the " ", but I didn't kno the actual name either >.< The only problem I have now is that the game wont let me play online in B.net, but with hamachi I can play through TCP/IP..

Just wondering, but can u play B.net characters on TCP/IP? Or they're seperate?

You won't be able to play B-net if:

1. Your CD-key is not legit
2. Someone else stole your CD key and is using it for their game

As far as I know, there is no program out there that will let you bypass the CD-key authentication process before logging onto B-net.

The fact that you can't play online has nothing to do with your TCP/IP setting because as long as you are able to surf the web on your computer, you should be able to play the game on B-net provided that you have a legit CD-key.

If you want to invite a few friends over and start a LAN party, then you'll need to configure your network settings so all of you can see each other on the same network.

Are you using a torrent installed game?

The problem is that you are trying to use an illegal version of the game, which makes you a pirate. Seriously, you can get the battlechest which includes D1, D2, and LOD all for just $20 from Walmart or some place else. Not to mention you'll be able to play online too.

if you have a legit copy of the game you can update to patch 1.13 which allows no cd play, if you copy some of the files off your d2 disk, think it's speach.d2x video.d2x and i'm pretty sure there's another file, but that info should be in the patch info

if you're playing with a non legit copy then you should be able to find a d2loader to help you but you won't be able to play on b.net without a legit copy
