Does anyone know if it is possible to kill the plane tyrant without the explosive arrows and only say... 4 or so grenades and a couple of handgun bullets?

no chance. i think it took me like at least 20 explosive arrows (all i had) and a bit of everything else

USE THE PLANES CATAPULT. THE SWITCH IS ON CLAIRE'S LEFT (TO THE RIGHT ON THE SCREEN) AS YOU ENTER THE PLANE'S CARGO HOLD. YOU CAN TAKE HIM OUT WITHOUT FIRING A SHOT BUT YOU NEED PLENTY OF HEALTH ITEMS (AT LEAST AN OLD FART LIKE ME DOES) AND YOU HAVE TO DODGE HIS ATTACKS UNTIL THE CATAPULT RESETS ITSELF (15 - 30 SECONDS). YOU HAVE TO LAUNCH IT 4 OR 5 TIMES TO FINALLY GET RID OF TYRANT

all u have to do is to have flame rounds.if u do shoot him with them and he will be on fire.after this hit him with the catapult and that's it!!!
