Ever since I was 8, and playing Soul Edge, my top two have been Cervantes and Hwang- sama. Then, I ended up retiring the blade for awhile. And 5 years later, I ended up getting sucked in again. And now my top two are Mina- sama and Hwang- sama ( I still have that skill, it amazes even my simple mind!^-^)! And although I actually haven't played SC, I will be ( probably)able to since I actually made Honor Roll for once. Infact, how would anyone like to sign up for the religion I started? You have your choice on who you want to worship: Mina- sama (3|=)x<, Hwang- sama, Cervantes, Siegfried, and Voldo.

My favorite character in the game is Taki. She's so cool! Just one question: Why'd they kill off Li Long!?!?!?!? I kicked butt as him!

They did include Maxi for you Li long fans. But then, they killed him off too.

Exactly,they were friends,but I wonder why they kepp killing the guy with the nunchakus beats the heck out of me.I didn't play SB that much cause I didn't know about it until I got SC,so I was to busy playing it.

It's really sad cause both guys they killed off were good characters.

My record for survival was last i checked, 45 with Siegfried. I'm pretty sure I went past that, but I don't remember what it was. I was playing practice mode which I do alot, and had to go fast so quit right in the middle of it, which erased my saves. Besides that though, right now my favorite character is Hwang. When I first played the game, I remember picking Lizardman first because he was an animal, like King from Tekken 3, who was my favorite guy for that game, way back then. From Lizardman I started playing as Nightmare, then from him, to... I guess Siegfried.. then Kilik/Maxi/Hwang. Has anyone noticed that a bunch of the characters have similar fighting styles/weapons? Such as Kilik/Seung Mina, Hwang/Xianghua, Lizardman/Sophitia, Astaroth/Rock, Nightmare/Siegfried. The one thing that I would have really enjoyed in Soul Calibur would have been a tournament mode, and the option of putting on some of the extra challenges found in the mission mode, such as being poisoned, soul charging to regain
health/speed, etc. Also an option to have the computer fighting you, in practice, but using only kicks, or only horizontal or vertical attacks. I think it would have been really cool to fight hand-to-hand with those characters. And there should have been more grabs. Okay, I'm done, hehe

Mitsurugi is fantastic, but terribly predictable at times, similar to Hwang.
Hwang has some of the best wake-up games around, but is just a bit too slow. On other hand....if you go the route of Xianghua, you lose the damage that Hwang gives you, and most of the fantastic low game.
Probably would have to be Kilik overall, because of the variety of pokes, prods and interrupts he has on everybody. Just watch those good Astaroth players!!
Second could possibly be Yoshimitsu because of his good high-low game, and his excellent array of short and medium attacks.
Despite this, Mitsurugi and Hwang are still my two most adored characters...even if they are a little one-dimensional at times.

My favorite, of course, is Mitsurugi for obvious reasons.

Second would have to be Cervantes because his ringout moves are so good. He has a backwards ring out (the hook), a forward throw ring out and tons of others.

Other tops are Yoshimitsu.. Suicides and Pogo-Stick are awesome, and if you actually kill someone with a suicide it's the most honorable victory you can get.. and Sigfried because of his ringout moves.

many people on this forum seem to miss the point that sigfried is the best character (although I refrain from using him because he is SO cheap) personally though yoshimistsu would have to be my favorite char, since half of his more powerful moves damage himself. yosimitsu is the most difficult char to master therefore my favorite.
