re: MVC2 teams...

Yeah but he has ryu on that team, and ryu pretty much sucks. No offense or anything, he's not the worst, but still not that too hard to beat. Charlie and Guile are better mid tiers than the shotos. Oh well whatever works, but he should switch it to Ryu, Capcom, Cable. Or take out Ryu and replace him with Cyke, or Psylocke.

re: MVC2 teams...

Hold on there a second. Ryu isn't a bad character at all. Keep in mind that he was a dominant force in the capcom scene for many years. I consider the dragon punch and the hado-ken to still be staples in the playing environment. To analyze him and compare him to every other character, I rate him at above average. He could be a serious powerhouse if in the right hands.

Pros- Good projectile, and projectile and anti air assist, can cancel into his hypers relatively easy from his regular move list, takes 100% damage (average), has medium speed, and does a good amount of damage with the hurricane kick, dragon punch, and hado-ken, and both hypers.

Cons- the hado-ken can be lost amongst certain projectiles in the game. I'm talking about the vyper beam, optic blast, sentinals rocket launch, ect. His hypers have some serious lag time. He isn't as quick as some of the smaller characters in the game. The dragon punch can be air blocked when you jump at him.

So I would say he is a 7/10. Certainly a playable character.

re: MVC2 teams...

I'll go with that, since I haven't really played or seen any good Ryu users in this game for a long time. Only times where I lost severely to anyone using ryu was way back when I was totally new and didn't know how to play. But Ryu does have the hadoken and shinku-hadoken which can be tk motioned just like cable. Plus his aaa and proj assists are nice and his 2 supers can be mashed for extra damage.
I just thought that team was a little odd with Ryu in there, and Cable starting the round with only one meter. I still use Ryu in this game too from time to time although he's not in my cut of fav characters.

sorry man i gotta go with 69 on this one man frist of all like you said yourself his hadoken is definately a weakness i've beat too many people how over use the haduken just because it was such a dominate move in steet fighter. and 2 he is slow as hell man you see every thing coming and it'a a very fast paced game. and since his lag time is over exagerrated of course it give huge gaps for a counter move like mega man's charge shot. and as you your self said he's been in capcom too long and every one who's ever played street fighter knows exactly how he plays so they already have a heads up on how he work aka how to beat him. and as for your coment on me and gentle ben, man listen i stick to my story i got his team beat. but i'll give him the benifite of the doubt. it is his team and i don't know how he uses them the only ways for me to truely know is to play him.

Yeah I suppose he is a little to traditional in the environment. Anyway..

Who ca honestly tell me some updates on a possible Marvel V.S. Capcom 3. I have heard a mix of things, all rumors of course, that say the game was released in Japan already, and on the Dreamcast. I don't think thats true. Does anybody have any information on this subject that is factual?

MvC3: The fact and the fiction.
A few years back, screen shots of 'mvc3' were released to the public, screen shots included characters of Zero from Megaman X, and Dante from Devil May Cry. These screenshots were later said to be falsified enchancements of MvC2 screens, but I'm not sure on that. What I do know is that Capcom was contracted by marvel to make 7 games, and that 7 games were made. X-Men: C.O.T.A., X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and one X-men game created for the sega genesis system. That isn't to say that Marvel and Capcom haven't had past interminglings, but the contract for seven games has been fulfilled. What does that mean? Capcom and Marvel may continue to do business with each other, but they are no longer under direct contract, meaning that at either time, either company or it's affiliates can back out if the project consumes too many resources that could be used better elsewhere. To put it simply, MvC3 may exist in a developmental stage, but it is no longer a top Capcom priority. If it gets made at all, it will most likely be a shoddy cut-and-paste like MVC2 was. Those screen shots may indeed be real, as I found most theories on thier true origins to be ridiculous, and after being released to the public, Capcom (wishing to keep the project under wraps until it reaches a certain stage of completion) probably attempted a cover-up to keep anxious fans from getting too crazed or impatient. Due to the overwhelming success of the Marvel Vs. Capcom series of games (which include all of the above listed titles), I sincerely doubt capcom will turn a deaf ear when the crowd screams for more. Liscences for character use is a big problem. Capcom was granted creative liscence for 7 games, no more, no less. If capcom wishes to continue, they will most likely have to pull teeth to gain character rights at marvel again. In fact, some of our favorites may dissapear and be replaced by new faces. Capcom will most likely persue this at thier convenience and persue more demanding projects immediatly, which is one reason why the Capcom Vs. SNK series was released. I for one would love to see an updated DarkStalkers game, perhaps even in a 3-D tekken-style layout, or perhaps Capcom can do something truly interesting and do Capcom Vs. Hudson (Bloody Roar series). Mmm...Jenny Vs. Morrigan.

re: MVC2 teams...

Isn't the next game being worked on called Sammy vs Capcom?
It could be good if they keep it Mvc 2 style which is team based and air comboes plus improve some of the weaker capcom characters. But then again it could turn out to be the worst fighting game ever made, aka Snk verse Capcom Chaos.

Boy does that game suck.

Actually, I have heard info that the next game will be Capcom Vs. Guilty Gear. I would like to see if they included the insta-kills from Guilty Gear (especially Faust, his is the funniest). I would be interesting to see what kind of insta-kills Ryu, M. Bison, Balrog, and Guile would have. Though if they include Dan (one of my favorites), they better not screw him up like they did in Capcom Vs. SNK 2. His Mega-Super was a complete joke!

re: MVC2 teams...

Felicia: Fast, easy to combo, her hits don't deal massive damage so you have to work for your supper. Be careful on the damage meter, but she makes for a fun play due to her unusual style and quirky moves. (gripping the wall and sliding down. XD)

Rogue: Powerhouse, plain and simple. Her fierce hits deal massive damage and her ability to steal health, power, defense, speed and armor helps like you wouldn't believe. She can be a wicked combo master when you get used to her, but again, you have to work for your suppah!

Ruby Heart: She plays a lot like the DarkStalkers' J. Talbain, but with a few twists. Her moves make for a flashy show and her style leaves a lot of room to seriously trip opponents up. These are just a few suggestions off the top of my head. More to come later.

ok i like the the felicia and rouge idea, and it's ok i like to work for my suppa one of the reasons why i pick mostly players that take alot of damage but i need some one that i can play as well as mega man, well actually in the frist mvc roll was my second favorite charater i should naturally choose her but the whole point is me getting used to a new team. thanks darkstalker i really apprieciate that. and i'm looking foward too every one else's coments.
