re: MVC2 teams...

Okay, My teams vary based on what I think I can get away with. My best team is probably [barely]
Character X, Cable-b, Cyc-b -Character X = BH, Storm, Sentinel, anyone else.
Edit:Forgot to mention why this is good...
BH-b = battery / secondary assist. He either goes combo crazy or time waster. He usually combos the first character to death [or stalls till the opponent self destructs].
Cable-b = Enforcer. His role varies. If he has a ton of meter, I AHVB something to death. If not, I fight up close and combo the character to death. Probably not the smartest way to play the team, but if it works for me [even vs rushers], fine.
Jose Garcia, What are the 3-5 best keepout patterns for Cable-BH in your opinion? Cyclops-b = Primary assist. For Cable = Close Confusion / Trapping / Combo Extender / Close disruption For BH = Conbo extender / Pinning / Close disruption

I'm not real great at MVC2, but this is the team I use. Jin- pretty sure he's the 3rd strongest char. in the game and unlike the other strong guy's like juggernaut and the hulk he's not big so he doesn't get hit nearly as much. Put him in last and you got the despiration powerup, makes his toughness = to highest in the game. CapCom- Awesome air defence. His flaming punch always knocks people around when unblocked, and I think it does extra chip damage too. Don't really know how else to use him yet. I realy just use him because his entrance is so frickin' cool. Strider- A hard guy to hit, also very fast, something that Capcom and Jin don't seem to be. He seems to do real well in the air. He also seems to work real well against big slow guys like Juggernaut and Hulk. All in all my weakest character. I think that using Jin's Blodia Vulcan super and CapCom's rushing super, I think it's called the Captain Storm, together might work, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
Sometimes I put Akuma in instead of Strider for his beam super. No real reason for Akuma, I', not any better w/ him than I am w/any other beam guy, I just like his look.
I can't believe how few people use Jin, he rocks.

Venom, Akuma, and Cable Cable, is my backup being that he can kill any two characters by himself. Akuma is a balance in case somebody comes out with someone, like Jill, who is fast and has projectiles that needs to be kicked in the face, then hit with that spinny electric kick them get fireballs dropped on her head. Venom, well he just bites back and forth through everything and has a beautiful super move, the thing with the web. It tears people up.

With MVC2, it doesn't matter who I use on a team as long as the primary member is Morrigan (Projectile Type)
Morrigan is one of the best characters in the game. She has long combos that are fairly easier to pull off than most other characters', two out of her three supers deal some pretty serious damage and her special moves give her the ability to be played like a shoto without actually -BEING- one. The problem with many players is that they see Morrigan as a Shoto fighter. Try using her without doing so much as a soul fist or shadow blade and I garauntee, you'll have to develop strategies a shoto couldn't pull off. Morrigan is primarily an opportunist. Strike and run away, live to attack again later. She's terrific at Keep away. If you are facing an opponent that likes to press you into corners and force feed you chipping damage, Morrigan is the ideal counter force. She is nimble in the air, she's a light character and quite fast, and also, Many of her in-the-air special moves have insane priority. (A prime example being that if you are even -slightly- above your opponent in the air, Morrigan's Shell kick has priority over almost ANYTHING they can dish, short of a super move. This doesn't count if they use land-based attacks.) Her 3-variation dash keeps the keep away game mixed up, and if they get really cheap on you and pull some really unfair shit, you can become the ultimate bitch and make it rain soul fists. Morrigan is more subtle than characters like Cable and Cyclops and requires a great deal more finesse and should only be used in two situations: As a learning tool/ crutch for new players OR for veteran gamers who are willing to put in the time to learn her tricks.
She may not be the greatest fighter in the game, but in the right hands, she can be lethal. Just don't count her out just because of her appearance. I've fooled many people just because she's a 'slut' or 'dresses like a prostitute.' (My point being that Storm looks like a giant silver butterfly and omega red looks like something out of a bad russian erotica film, so don't judge on appearances alone.) The mark of a truly great MVC player is the ability to use a character to the fullest extent possible, and the mark of those who don't know what they're doing is exactly the opposite, it's the action of picking the typical 'strong' characters in an effort to beat the shit out of something without any strategy whatsoever.
That's just my take on it. It's Morrigan for me, and I'm sure everybody has a character they rock with. (Even though -EVERYBODY- uses cable. He's old news now, let's move on, k?) Just don't be so quick to discard opponents for how they look.

my best team would either be:
Blackheart(AAA), cable(AAA or projectile) , cyclops/commandoAAA) or Blackheart(AAA), storm(projectile or expansion), cyclops/commando (AAA)
I think these are bad ass teams b/c:
MY black heart can build bar while connecting the infinite from almost any roundhouse demon I connect with as well as the cyclops, storm OR cable assist. Also I can play great keep away or rush down with him regardless of who my opponent has. Plus I know three different guard breaks with him that lead into the infinite which means 3/4 to your whole bar will be gone.
Cable is self explainatory!
Storm give me killer rush down, cross-ups, and run away. Plus a dhc into her can be performed at anytime if my BH ever get's in trouble and she's guanranteed to have plenty of bars.
Cyclops or commando b/c I can use both of them without the aid of an assist (especially cyclops) and run away like you wouldn't believe. I also know cyclop's infinite and a bunch of tricks with commando.

For those who want to win, the best team would be Magneto (projectile), Sentinel (ground/launcher), and Cable (projectile/anti-air). 1. Magneto is just badass. He can do it all, from awesome combos (EX: dash, lk, lauch, lp, lk, lp, lk, hyper grab, tempest) to juggling you about the screen with his infinite. 2. Sentinel brings potential for victory. Now Sentinel is very deceptive and possess a devestating assist. Though most people know about his herculean strength and massive hp, most people are discouraged by his slug paced speed. But the secret behind Sentinel is not walking, but rather dashing and flying. Practice that and Sentinel will prove to be quite a force to deal with, especially when he pulls of the simple combo of launch, lp, lk, lp, lk, rocket punch. 3. Cable means victory...enough said. Though as a comboist hes not that great, the linking of the hyper viper beam more than makes up for it. Plus, he can guard break and make everyone pay. Guy jumps out, you shoot a bullet at him and follow up with an air hyper viper beam, then link a few more and the guy is either dead or well on the way.
Another really good team is Sentinel(ground), Captain Commando(anti-air), Cable(anti-air). Again you have Sentinel flying and dashing about and Cable shooting pistols, throwing gernades, and punishing all with hyper viper beams, but this time you have Commando and his awesome assist. Though he makes for a crappy point character, his supers and assist more than makes up for his defficiencies. For those of you with experience, this is called a SCRUB TEAM. It is very cheap and will probably annoy a lot of people.
The other team I use is probably Storm(projectile), Cammy(anti-air), and Ken(anti-air). Cammy and Ken have perhaps one of the best assists in the game, simply because its pretty much invincible. Storm is also a first tier character whose speed and combo abilities are matched only by Magneto. As for Cammy, fast and deadly. The combo in which she cancels from a drill kick to the killer bee assault is simply beautiful. As for Ken, who can forget the Shotokan. His super is invincible for the first two uppercuts, dashing even through hyper viper beams and he is glitched. Just launch, lp, and hurricane kick with hk and watch their life go down. Be advised that this team requires a lot of skill and practice to play.
Hope this helps people in team combinations. All these teams are perfect for comboing off each other as well and, save for the last one, are tournament caliber teams. Also, be advised that the people broadcasting joke characters such as Dan, Megaman, Roll, and Servot, simply ignore them as those characters do no damage at all.

Okay the first two teams you named are both good teams which is why they are the most commonly picked (along with MSP and Storm/Sent/Com). Which is why I don't pick them. But I like that last team you picked b/c you won't find a lot of people using it. As for you comment on Dan, Megaman, Roll, and Servbot...Come on they're fun to use and if you're good with the 1st and 2nd tier that you use you can still win with a sorry character on your team. I actually pic BH/Dan/Com or Cyc sometimes. Dan is by all means the least horrible characters of the ones you named. Plus you get mad respect if you win with him in your team. Also I've found that his qcf+KK super has amazing priority and can stop any rush down. This is the best part about him. If you're about to OCV someone from chip damage, you can cancel into his taunt super right b4 they die from chip for the ultimate insult. hehehe Even better (for my team) if you catch someone in BH's JD and you have 3 more super bars (which is not a rare occasion for me since I really don't use supers with BH) you can cancel into Dan's level three super and the character's going to be dead unless it's a Sentinel type character.

I think that everyones teams are good! One reason why Is becouse I have done played with all of those teams before. And I know that every one of you would beat me If I picked those teams. But I have an undefeated team that I have learned to master every one's moves and combo's.
1.Gambit-He's just overall good! 2.Ironman-He is better than cable and warmachine! 3.Captian Cammando-He is very fast and no one can stop me!
